from far rockaway. conflicting reports coming in, but shabbos morning, somewhere around 8:30 a.m., Eliyahu Ben Hinda Rochel. was mugged (i think must be attempted mugging - this is shabbos morning) and shot. he was taken to jamaica hospital, where he had surgery. he is now recovering. apparently the perpetrator was caught.
August 28, 2005 - Eliyahu ben Hinda Rochel - the 33 year old man who was shot shabbos morning before tisha b'av (in far rockaway). he is out of the hospital and recovering nicely. please continue to keep him in your prayers.
