PENNY POOCH GOES TO THE ZOO
Hi kids, I'm Penny Pooch and I'm glad your here. I can't wait to tell you about how my people took me to the zoo last week!
Oh we had such fun! And I met some really neat animals. And of course I got into a little bit of trouble. But it wasn't my fault!
You see; my little girl people, Mandy, and I got lost at the zoo. And her mommy and daddy had a hard time finding us.
It all started when we met Eddie Elephant. Was he ever big!! So big, that my people couldn't see around him.
Mandy and I were just standing by Eddie Elephant, and the next thing we knew, her mommy and daddy were no where to be seen!
Mandy and I decided to look for them. We looked and looked, but we couldn't find my people.
We stopped and asked Tina Tiger if she had seen any lost people around her cage. And she shook her stripes at us and growled �NO�!
Next we met Honey Hippo, now Honey was not friendly at all!! She just slid down in her cool bath and would not talk to us.
Mandy and I decided that we had better ask someone else for help, so we walked on.
We walked until we came to Patty Panda's cage. I thought I was big, but Patty Panda bear was REALLY big!
But Patty Panda didn't scare me! Mandy was scared, but I wasn't. If I hadn�t had a leash on, I would've walked up closer to the cage and sniffed it over.
Mandy had to pull me away. She took us over to a big bird. Her name was Prissy Peacock, and she was beautiful!
Prissy had a large tail, and when she opened her feather�s she was so pretty that I wanted to lick her, but Mandy wouldn't let me, and Prissy got all ruffled and turned her back on us.
Our next stop was at Larry Lion's cage. Wow, what a large cat! I wanted to chase him up a tree, and when I barked at him was I ever surprised!!
Larry Lion growled so loud at me that the ground shook!! This was no scaredy cat! I ran away, pulling Mandy after me.
I ran and ran, with Mandy right behind me. We ran right into my people! Were they ever glad to see the both of us!
So glad that they didn't even scold us! They just took us home and gave us lunch, and put Mandy to bed for her nap.
I was so glad to be back in my fenced yard, that I ran around and around for a long time. And then I took my nap too.
