PENNY POOCH AND THE NEW BABY
Hi kids, I'm Penny Pooch, and I have a story to tell you today!
My people have a new baby, so it�s my new baby too! But I didn't always think so!
When my people brought the new baby home, I thought that they had gotten a new pet. I was so sad!
They spent all of their time with her! I only got to see them at feeding time.
I barely got a pat on the head, and not many kind words. This new pet got to stay in the house; I didn't anymore.
Did this new pet get to be on the couch? Maybe, even on the bed with my people!
I thought and thought of a plan to get rid of this new pet that was taking my place. And one day it came to me! I would just dig a hole by my fence, again, and run away.
I had to dig really fast, cause I would really be in big trouble if my people caught me digging again! And my hole had to be a big; cause I'm a big dog, so I dug and dug. I was so busy digging that I didn't see my people come out into the yard!
OH...., how can I hide such a big hole? What can I do? Maybe the tail- wagging trick! That works for almost everything!!
And that's what I did! I ran up to my people and wagged my tail very fast.
But wait, the new pet was with them!! And in my fenced yard, too!
Well, now we would see what this new pet was all about. I walked closer so I could sniff this new thing over.
What A SURPRISE!!!! A new little people! And she is going to live at our house and be my very own little girl. Her name is Mandy. Oh what a happy day!
But what am I going to do with this big hole??
