TOYS ARE FOR BOY DOGS
Of all my dogs Prozac is the one who will play until he drops! The girls will chase after a ball, but it will be to keep Zac from getting it. I don't understand why my female dogs don't play as much as my Zac does, but he has more playfulness in his tail than they have in both of their bodies put together! He has been like that since he was a little puppy. Sometimes, I think that the bottle of beans might have pushed him over the edge!
Prozac loves squeak toys, balls, sticks, strings and anything in between. He will go get his ball or whatever is handy any time that you speak to him, any time that you are in the same room with him, really any time at all!! And if your not in the mood to play, well tough, he will drop the ball in your lap or on a table close to you, put his front paws in your lap, and stare at you with the silliest grin on his face. If this gets no response from you, then he takes his nose and pushes the ball, so that you either have to grab it, or let it drop, and if you let it drop, Zac thinks you did it on purpose, so the game is on as far as he is concerned!
I bought Zac two giant whiffle balls, one is red and the other is bright yellow. We keep one in the front yard and one in the back yard. He has figured out that with his giant ball, he really doesn't need any one to throw it, he just takes his nose and pushes it around the yard, and that makes the females chase him. So he has someone to play with any time he wants!
