THE PERFECT NAME
When you have dogs that need to be registered with the American Kennel Club, you don't just hang any ole name on them. It takes some thought and some time to come up with the perfect name for your sweet little pup!
With Lady, Roger decided on "Red Lady Down", of course I had no idea why the heck he wanted to put such a name down on paper. As I made my inquries, he explained that he had heard of a story where an airplane or helicopter went down, and they called it Red Lady Down, so he thought that it would make a good name for our little puppy. So, because I couldn't come up with a better name at the time, my innocent little red puppy got a silly name!
Anyway it sounded silly until we got the papers back and read her sire and dam's names were "Simply Southern Bubba� and � Mitchells Prissy Patsy�!!!!! And being from Georgia, we knew that "Red Lady Down" would survive!
Roger had already named my chocolate puppy "Prozac", and I was determined to have the final say in his registered name! So, I set my mind to work, and had several days of frustration, trying to come up with the right name for my sweet, hyperactive pup! And I must say that I've had quite a few responses from his name, most of them bordering on hysteria!!!! Now remember that he came from a sire that's name was "Simply Southern Prince" and his dam was "Daniel's Classy Lady", and as far as I was concerned there was too much royalty in this pup's life, what he needed, was some laughter and whimsy from that day forward! Which brought me to the name of "Chocolate Covered Prozac". A name like that should make him laugh a lifetime.
After naming these two, our third puppy was a snap! She had no pretense, she was just too precious, and the only thing that got too us was the fact that she tried to nip your lip for her puppy kisses! And after one nip too many, Roger decided that she wasn't so precious after all, and he gave her the name of "Damn Near Precious". Needless to say, don't let my husband name your puppy for you!
