Today i am constantly hearing things like...
i can get you a gig there easy..
i can get you free rehearsal time/studio time/give your cd to the big boss at...
i know someone who knows someone who knows someone whos dog works at..oh i know so&so who used to play in 'insert popular 80s/90s band name here'..you should play at our festival its just the quality of your cd aint that good..(what?!)
sure, you can play a gig here, we won't pay you, and you have to guarantee x amount of people to come and see you and drink our over-priced beverages at our venue...we will be rude to you and the sound engineer will probably be moody and unhelpful and make you sound like a croak of death in the best possible way

why dont you send me a cd/give me a cd to play to/listen to/give to..someone you've never heard of who probably won't like your stuff actually they're a drum'n'bass/techno/pop producer who will have no interest in it whatsoever but this is the best chat-up line i could think of...
