Note. -- This is the Golden Apple school. The children are from 3 to 6 years of age and attend school from Monday am to Friday pm. They spend the weekends with their parents. The school is open year round except for one week in early summer. The parents pay 5000 yuan a year plus 800 yuan a month. There are 5 staff for every 25 children.
