Team Manager Tip #3
Do your teams a favor and register for Team Manager Training. Whether you are a new or returning Team Manager, you will learn something new. Besides being able to exchange ideas with other Team Managers, you will learn about time management tools, conflict resolution, and how to lead your team through idea generation and decision-making discussions.
To register for training, visit www.cre8iowa.org and click on "Managers." Cost is $20 for program materials; cancellations are not refundable. Training dates will not be announced until sometime in October, at which time registration will open.
Make sure to add the dates of the Ames Instant Challenges to your calendar when it is announced. It will take place the 2nd or 3rd Saturday in January. This workshop for teams provides feedback on performance- and task-based Instant Challenges in a risk-free environment, and includes sessions on performance skills and "Making Materials Work." Note: if your team attended last year's Instant Challenger, they will have the opportunity to choose different sessions.
