Is your team practicing Instant Challenge at every team meeting? Have you run through the entire Practice Set of 9 Instant Challenges that is part of your offiical program materials? If the answer to both questions is yes, then you're doing your job!
Iowa Co-Affiliate Director Jay Swords reminds folks that the point spread for Team Challenge at Tournament is often very narrow, while the point spread for Instant Challenge is frequently large. What's the significance of this? Instant Challenge can have a big impact on the overall success of the team at Tournament.
Where can you find more Instant Challenges?
1. Purchase an Iowa Team Manager Resource CD from previous Team Manager trainings. Specifiy the CD you prefer: #1 (2004-05) or #2 (2005-06). Cost is $5, including mailing and postage. Send your check made out to Students for a Creative Iowa to: Judy Nolan, 3825 92nd Drive, Urbandale, IA 50322-2187.
2. Visit www.idodi.org, click on "Where do IDODI?" and check out the Affiliate sites.
3. Visit www.shopdi.org and purchase a book, CD or kit. Make sure you use Iowa's Affiliate code: 11206. Iowa receives a 10% rebate on purchases, which is reinvested in Iowa's program.
