My
wife and I have two beagles. The first is a 6 year old tri-colored
Beagle that we adopted from a rescue organization in September of 2000.
Her name is Lucy Wigglesworth and she is a 13 inch weighing in at about
20 pounds. In December of 2001 we adopted another beagle, whose coloring
we think is called "red tick," because he is red with patches of red and
white mixed hairs. Luke is 9 years old and weighs about 26 pounds.
People think Beagles howl a lot (baying), which some may, but Luke only
does it when he's excited and I have never heard Lucy do it. We couldn't
have asked for a better dogs.
