| To Claim a Knight and have a JDBB husband, you must first follow these rules: 1. Before a Lady in Waiting may make a claim for a Knight, she must be a regular JDBB poster for 1 month, and must post at least 3 times each week during that month. 2. You must first email your request the [email protected] then you are required to post your Intended Knight Claim on the JDBB. Please note: You must make the claim in a separate post addressed to the Queens Claim Council. 3. There will be a 2 day waiting period during which time another Lady In Waiting may offer her hand for the same Knight. 4. If more than one Lady In Waiting request the same Knight, there will be a Jousting Match to determine who is most deserving of the Knight. This will take the form of some sort of game or knowledge test. The Joust and its details will be determined by the QCC. 5. Each lady is only allowed one current claim. More than one posting name does not mean more than one claim. One lady, one claim. To Keep Your Knight, you must abide by these regulations: 1. There is a 30-Day posting rule. If a Lady does not post on the BB a minimum of 4 times on 4 different days during a 30 day period, she will jeopardize her claim and be in danger of losing her Knight. These posts must be on book-related topics and on the main On Topic JDBB. Posts made to Birthday and Anniversary posts do not count towards your posting requirement. Also, posts made at the Off Topic board will not be counted as part of your posting total. The QCC will post a warning on the JDBB (No emails will be sent out). If there is no response in one week from the date of the Endangerd Post, the Knight will be returned to the Wolf's Den. The Knight will reside there for one week before being eligible for claiming by another Lady in Waiting. IMPORTANT: There is a Three Strikes You're Out Rule. If a lady finds her claim endangered 3 times, she will not receive another endangered warning. Upon becoming endangered a fourth time, her Knight will automatically be returned to the Wolf's Den. 2. Once a lady has lost her knight, she may not reclaim without first contacting the QCC. At that time, we will review the situation. We will make our decision after careful consideration and each situation will be handled individually and on a case by case basis. 3. If you have to leave the bulletin board for an extended length of time, please post on the BB and you can arrange for a mansitter/guardian for 5 weeks only. We will be flexible in the event of illness or serious issues. However for general breaks from the board, 5 weeks is the maximum before a hero is returned to the Wolf's Den. Please note, only members who have already passed the 1 month waiting period are eligible to have a Knight as a houseguest. Other Standards: 1. No Touching of the men in the Den. Under no circumstances will there be any fraternization with the men. You may look from a distance, but remember the Wolf's Den is constantly guarded, and the men are well protected. 2. The QCC has the right to postpone, revoke or deny a claim if they feel it is necessary. An explanation will be sent to the claimant via email if this occurs. All other special circumstances will be handled individually and solely by the QCC. 3. If a Lady feels she is no longer able to keep her Knight in the manner he deserves or if she finds her heart has been captured by another Knight, she is free to return her man to the Wolf's Den at any time. As long as she has met the prerequisite posting rules, she will be a Lady In Waiting for the 2 days, while she is claiming a new Knight. 4. Some Ladies choose to submit a celebrity as their image of their Knight for the Altar. To avoid any confusion, the person you pick must not be one already chosen by another lady. 5. Man Stealing games are NOT allowed unless sanctioned by the QCC. In those cases, all will be asked to participate, and any refusals to play will be honored. This includes "loaning" out a BB husband for any reason other than when in need of a mansitter. There will be no violation of the marriage vows. 6. Heroes from new books will be held for 30 days from the United States book release date before becoming available for claiming. 7. Previously claimed men who are returned to the Wolf's Den will be held for retraining for a period of 1 week before they are allowed to be claimed. * Please bear in mind, if you are unable or uninterested in posting ON TOPIC, We, the QCC, ask that you reconsider claiming a Knight so that a Lady who is capable and enthusiatic about posting On TOPIC may have the opportunity to claim the Knight she most adores.* If you agree with these rules, as set out by the QCC, we look forward and support your decision to claim a Knight. |
