1/2 block west of 48th on St. Paul, Lincoln. (402) 467-2244. Bright, airy shop across from the Mojave Coffee House. The owners, Pam and Sharon Ritchey, carry a large selection of high-quality seed beads, glass triangle beads, drop beads, delicas, embellishment beads and charms as well as findings, tools, books and supplies. They also sell the beadwork of local artists on consignment. Under the name "Perennial Buttons," Jeanne Wilson sells unusual buttons in part of the shop. These make wonderful embellisments or bracelet closures. The Gallery also offers frequent classes plus a drop-by time on Sunday afternoons for beaders with questions or who want some assistance with projects. 2600 S. 48th (Van Dorn Plaza) Mostly cheap plastic beads for kids, low-quality findings, pewter charms, Indian glass beads and some Czech seed beads. A few books, mainly aimed for children. Some polymer clay and the globs of glass (originally designed to hold up cut flowers in vases but used by some as cabachons) in separate parts of the store. Suite A, 3010 Pine Lake Road (Southpointe Pavillion) Mostly cheap plastic beads for kids, some findings of varying quality, some tools, and czech seedbeads. Polymer clay in a separate part of the store as well as the pseudo-cabachon glass globs which are located in two different places. Also carries various sizes of small plastic ziplock bags that are handy for storing beads or small pieces of jewelry. As with Hobby Lobby, it is best to ask directions if you don't have a lot of time to hunt for these areas in the large store otherwise devoted to crafts. Barrier-free access.

Web site: http://www.threads-ne.com Email: [email protected] In Sutterplace Mall, Threads is primarily a yarn shop, but Gladys Fox, the owner, also dedicates a whole corner of the shop to beading, including a large selection of high-quality seedbeads, hexes, bugles, specialty beads, findings, supplies and an ever-expanding number of colors of delicas. This is also the best place to go for beading books and the only authorized distributer for Mirrex Looms in Lincoln. The shop offers a regular schedule of classes, many taught by Nancy Regier, and informal drop-by beading-answers time on Thursday afternoon. Open Monday-Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM, Thursday till 8 PM. The owner, Charlene Zweerink, carries a large inventory of high-quality delicas, triangles, seed beads and specialty beads like cathedrals, daggers, flowers and leaves. She also carries some nice findings. Some individual or group classes, sometimes with guest instructors like April Stevenson. Open Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 PM or by appointment.
