J: The whole world was created once we'd shot the live action.
L: Right.
J: Which we shot on a blue screen. So everything behind us is added afterwards. And it meant that, like you said, he could completely re-create... create a place of... in our imagination.
L: Well, let's take a look, what's this scene we're gonna see here? This is when you're, uh... oh, you're in the plane, you're...
J: I guess I'm fighting robots!
L: Yeah, you're trying, trying to get away from the machines!
J: Yes! The machines!
L: Let's take a look.
-- Clip plays --
[audience claps]
L: Cool! Cool... looks good...
J: [Jude reaches into the right side of his pin-striped blazer and pulls out a couple compacted objects. One of them pops up into a disc displaying the words of the movie. He hands it to Jay] I have some gifts.
L: What's that?
J: There ya go. It's a frisbee.
L: Oh, it's a frisbee!
J: It's a frisbee. I was gonna throw one into the audience but I suddenly got scared that I was gonna get sued if it hit them...
L: Don't be frightened! There ya go... [tosses his frisbee into the audience, Jude does the same with his].
[Camera pans into the audience. A man on the second level takes Jay's, and Jude's takes a dive towards the audience members on the floor].
J: It's coming down!
[His frisbee ends up hitting a girl in the last row in the face, and she covers her eyes].
L: Aww... you put her eye out! [laughs]
J: [Slinks back into his chair and covers his mouth, then leans over to cover his eyes momentarily in embarrassment]. I knew it!
L: [Sarcastically] You blinded a fan, isn't that nice? Be right back after this.
[Jude is still cackling, but it's obvious he feels bad about what happened. He mouths a huge "I'm sorry!" before they fade to commercial] |
