A Shadow of the Past Part Eleven

Discalimers: Not real, total fiction, never happened.

The story:

Thud, thud, thud.

His forehead landed again and again against the unyielding wood of the bedroom door. His hands were pressed, palms flat and level with his head; both too tired from their earlier pounding on the door to do more than twitch.

Adam, Davey whispered now, voice too tired from practice, but mainly from shouting at the door. Addie, please! I. . . I dont know what more to say. Ive said all I could. Ive said sorry a hundred times, mi Corazon, theres no other way to say it. Im sorry. Im sorry I hurt you. Im sorry you walked in and saw that. Im. . . Davey paused. What else could he say that he hadnt already? What could make Adam change his mind when he hadnt for hours already? Hed said it all. He said sorry. He said how much he was an idiot. . . how the woman was indeed a skank as Adam had called her. . .

Davey agreed to EVERYTHING Adam said, even if he felt differently otherwise. What he needed was to get Adam in a not so arguable mood. If he lost him, Davey knew, there was no sense in sticking around anymore. He had his chance with Adam. . . with a lifetime of happiness. . . and blew it.

Davey let a shudder wrack through his body. Without Adam. . .  He was. . .

Lost. Davey whispered as the tears welled in his eyes. Im lost, Addie. Im lost without you. He hit hid forehead against the door one last time before squeezing his eyes shut, forcing out the tears to start trailing his cheeks.

******************************

Adam pressed the side of his face against the door, fingers tracing the wood absently in the form of Daveys features. He loved Davey, he honestly did. But he was still too angry to open the door. So for the last hour and a half, he simply stood there by the door and silently listened to Daveys attempts to appease him.

Ive said sorry a hundred times, Davey had said, mi Corazon. . .

Corazon, Adam repeated in his mind as he began flipping through the Spanish/English dictionary in his other hand, Corazon, Corazon. . .

He had found it necessary to pull it out a while back. The more adventurous they became in the bedroom, the more Davey had the tendency shout Adams name amid a string of Spanish cursing. Curiosity ate him until he forced himself to look up much of what Davey let fly from his lips at the moment of passion. He grinned to himself, remembering some of the more inventive things Davey could come up with.

Heart. Adam mouthed as he found it. My heart. he blushed, glad for the door separating them so Davey wouldnt see his embarrassment. He called him his heart? Damn.

Im lost without you. Adam barely caught that last, weak whisper. He looked down at the bottom of the door but no longer saw the shadow of Daveys feet under the crack.

Adam bit his lip. Damn, he wasnt that mad at Davey, was he? It was all that hussys fault, not his Daveys. And so what if he gladly took his shirt off for the slut, letting her grope him? After the day was over, it would be Adam who got Davey off. It was Adam who made Davey religious every night. It was Adam, not some two-bit, restroom skeez who had the privilege of pounding into Davey anytime, anywhere. Why, then, was Adam letting it get to him?

Because hes mine. Adam whispered angrily at the wood door. Hes mine and no matter if he just wanted a friend, hes mine. My property.

Shouldnt you remind him of that? A voice whispered at the back of his head. Hes yours, but does he still remember that? Have you proved it lately? When was the last time you actually floored him? Hhmmm? All this practicing for the band has left you both too tired lately to have any fun. Instead, you two, **shudder** cuddle.

Cuddlings not bad. Adam frowned at himself.

No, his self agreed, but every single freakin night? And that habit of his, drooling on your chest? That any fun?

Noo, Adam said slowly, seeing his own point. Okay, so what?

So what?? He asked himself, geez! What the hell have I just been trying to tell myself?? Fuck him raw! Teach him youre his man and no sluts going to come between you two!

Adam nodded. That, Addie, is a freakin GREAT idea. Fuck im raw. He angrily opened the door and looked up and down the hall, searching his lover out.

***************************

But when he found Davey, all his anger and enthusiasm wavered. Just the sight of Daveys state left him worried that he might not be doing the right thing.

Davey lay on the couch, curled into a ball and still sniffling faintly, though clearly fast asleep. His hair was still tangled from earlier and his make-up left dark smudges around his eyes. He drew in slow, ragged breaths, so helpless in his grieving. In his hands, he held Pecky, but loosely so that in a minute, it fell with a thud to the floor.

Adam moved around the couch and picked it up. He remained crouched low to peer into Daveys sleeping face. So innocent. So. . . beautiful. If any man in the world should be called beautiful, it was Davey. He had always been beautiful. Even when they were kids. Everyone thought Davey was the prettiest little boy in the world. And he was. What with all that long, blond hair.

Adam brushed back a lock of black hair, wondering what made Davey color it. He knew that Daveys hair would turn darker as he grew, the blond turning darker into a sandy, woody color. That would have been nice. But it was now black. Why? Why did Davey want such a drastic change?

Adam frowned. Where had Davey gone all those years? What did he do? Whenever he asked, Adam never got a straight answer. And literally, too.

I wandered around, thinking of you. Davey would purr into his ear, making him blush.

Adam looked back down at Davey still sleeping. Where did you go? he asked softly, so as not to disturb him, what did you do? Who did you meet? Youre too innocent still to have traveled much, I think. Maybe you DID travel, but to the better places in this world. The nicer parts. That true, Davey? Did you see all the world had to offer a great person like you? I hope you did. Because I mean to keep you with me, forever, and I dont see myself living on silk pillows and drinking wine with aristocrats.

In answer, Davey inhaled deeply and let it out. Still asleep. Adam smiled faintly and stood. Wont be asleep for long. He took off his shirt and began undoing his pants, then stopped. No. He could undress later. And yes, he meant to still fuck Davey raw. Itll be more like make-up sex.

Unceremoniously, Adam pushed Davey so he lay on his back and straddled his waist. Rudely waken, Davey was at a loss as to why Adam was suddenly on top of him. He blinked, expression shocked. Adam. . . Davey began, but was cut off by Adams hand over his mouth.

Listen, dont talk. Adam said, his features hard and stone-like. You said all you could. Now its my turn. I dont care about her. She can paw you all she wants. She can even stick her hand down your pants, give you a hand job and kiss your ass for all I care. But youd better not like it, Davey. You understand me? Youd better not get to liking that kind of stuff. You got me?

Davey nodded hurriedly, eyes glued to Adam and glazing over with love. Adam decided to put a stop to that. And another thing, when were out in public, no looking at me like that. And no asking to hold my hand. And NO pretending to bump into me to try and feel my crotch, got that?

He felt Davey smile under his hand, but he didnt agree. I said, GOT THAT? Adam asked menacingly. Hurriedly, Davey stopped smiling and nodded, even if his eyes looked reluctant. Good, Adam continued seriously, now, were going to stop fighting. Why? Because Im fucking tired of it now. And that whores not worth fighting over. And because I have the serious need to fuck you raw right now. at this, Daveys eyes brightened and his complexion turned pink.

Oh, no! Adam laughed down at him, dont get happy! I mean to have my way with you and youre not going to like this any bit. I doubt youll be able to walk properly for a few days, let alone sit. You understand, Davey? MY way. Let me hear you say it. he took his hand away from Daveys mouth.

Davey licked his lips and looked at Adam steadily, even if he felt the anxiety sink to his stomach. Your way, Adam. he said, nodding. He always did like Adam when he was dominating. But he wasnt too fond of many of the things Adam liked. Especially, THAT one. Just thinking about it made Davey shudder.

Adam saw this, catching a snippet of Daveys thought, and smiled horribly. Thats for later, Dave. Right now, Im not as hard I thought Id be when we got to this point. Youre going to give me a blow job, he saw Daveys face begin to make that whining expression, AND youre going to like it! No. No, stay down. I think I like this position. he unzipped his pants and moved up Daveys body until he was in position.

Adam, Davey began, perhaps pleading for the last time in hopes Adam would change his mind, but he was cut off by Adams member penetrating his mouth and forcing its way to the back of his throat. He extinguished the gag reflex that wanted to begin making his stomach pump back up his lunch. Wouldnt be good to puke all over Adam and get him mad again.

Davey looked up at Adam, well, as much as he could see, anyway. So he wasnt all that mad at Davey, then, was he? If he was still willing to have sex with him. As Davey still looked up, Adam shifted so he watched himself moving in and out of Daveys mouth, startling blue eyes intense and piercing.

He loved Adam, that was beyond all doubts and questions. Adam Carson was the only one for him. He knew that since years ago. If Adam wanted something, it was Daveys mission to see he got it. If Adam wasnt happy about their public relationship, then. . . then Davey could change. He could stop being a sex-crazed slut and keep his hands to himself. Damn, he didnt think Adam really noticed the crotch-grabbing.

Davey let his eyes lower and focus on the tightening rhythm of Adams stomach muscles. But it was going to be hard, having to forcefully keep his hand back away from Adams hand. That would be hard. And the staring. He loved Adam. He was just damn attractive. Everything about him, Davey wanted to memorize. There wasnt a second that something about Adam caught his eye and amazed him. It was like falling in love again for the first time.

But Davey knew Adam was serious. If he didnt want that kind of thing to happen in public, then Davey would do it when they were alone. Hell, he would do it while Adam was asleep if he had to, but he would accept Adams command as law and stick to it. He owed him that much.

Adam thrust one last time and pulled out, still hard and unspent. Okay, that was a good start. he said huskily, making Davey shiver with excitement. He loved it when Adams voice when deep like that. Very sexy.

Adam moved back and gave Daveys thigh a light slap. Come on, get those clothes off. And hurry it up. No strip teasing. I know what you look like already. Put off slightly, Davey did as he was told and took off his clothes quickly. But it was still apparent that this was getting Adam off, since he couldnt take his eyes away.

And now? Davey asked, a faint teasing tone to his voice as he sat naked beside Adam. He absently toyed with his hair, curling it around his fingers.

Adam drank him in like a man in the desert dying of thirst. Now, he said faintly, then trailed off. What exactly was he going to do? His hand tried moving down to calm little Adam, but he found one stroke was as good as another.

Davey saw this slow movement and watched avidly. Hed never seen Adam handle himself like this. Why? Because the whore that Davey was, he always had HIS hands all over Adam. Well, now he could learn some discretion with this show Adam was giving him, couldnt he?

Adam stopped, realizing that while he was ogling Davey, HE was ogling Adam. No, he didnt want it like this, he wanted. . . an idea struck him.

Yes, he muttered absently, but itd have to be fast, so he doesnt suspect. . .

Davey frowned, not hearing properly. Adam? Whatd you just. . .? he was cut off when Adam tensed, then tackled him, sending them both off the side of the couch.

HA HA HA!! Adam roared happily, forcing himself on Davey. Davey struggled to get out from underneath but it was useless. He couldnt get Adam off because most of him didnt WANT Adam off.

Adam forced Davey, not too unkindly, onto his stomach and entered roughly and without preparation. They groaned at the same time, Daveys more hurtful and Adams more lustful. He sat on Davey, riding him as hard as he said he would, hands holding onto his shoulders to steady his rhythm.

Ohhhhh, Davey moaned, mouth opening and closing, lip ring twinkling. His eyes shut and he immediately began to see odd colored patterns behind his eyelids. This was the best fuck hed had in days. And yes, he meant fuck. This wasnt making love. This was plain and simple fucking. It was this point, just as Adam began ramming him at top speed, that Davey realized it wasnt going to be love-making they did anymore. It would simply be sex. There was love, yes, he was sure about it, but there wouldnt be anymore cuddling or gentle caresses. It was like they finally grew up, finally matured.

No, he whispered inside his own mind, I grew up. Adam was already beyond that. He tried to tell me, to show me before, but I was too dull to realize why he didnt want to do any of that. Im too childish, thinking I can live my old fantasies with Adam and have everything my own way.

He felt Adam slowing down, perhaps having second thoughts about having forced Davey into this. Well, no time like the present to show him youve grown, right? Davey asked himself. He mentally nodded, determined to act his rightful age.

Dammit, Adam! Davey forced himself to say, voice thick with sex, that all you have? Thought you were going to fuck me raw?

Taken aback by the taunting, Adam immediately resumed his pace, now grinning wolf-like at this new side of Davey. Yes, thats what he wanted. He wanted THAT side of his lover. And finally, he had him.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

For all appearances, they were just four guys playing together in a band. They had their squabbles, though not many, and shared many laughs together. When times got rough for him, Jade moved into Adams house, converting the second room from storing drum kits to an actual bedroom.

When they grew bored, Hunter was elected to come up with entertainment. Mainly, just stupid acts like skating over Jades pimp-mobile and failing miserably. Or seeing how many pairs of panties he could coax from girls, especially when it wasnt even THEIR concert. (Because the others were laughing behind him as they watched, Hunter never came up with a staggering amount.)

To continue on to their roles other than music, Davey was elected cheerleader, as he was the one with the most vitality, the most fire inside. His energy was astounding. It baffled the others how this guy could move so much, feel so much. So, he became the cheerleader, albeit less perky. Jade even made him tiny pom-poms out of black paper, which Davey brought out now and then to get a laugh out of them as he shook them vigorously and made up his own chants.

Jade, he himself claimed, was the brains of their outfit. (Especially since there was a tie between himself and Davey as being the sexy bitch of the group.) If they ever came up with a problem, he handled it. He even had his brother, Smith, helping out when he could. Every time Smith came to town, he and Jade would get together and sort through the bands expenses and bills until everything came out even. And things usually did.

Adam was. . . the backbone, the referee. The father figure, and the quiet one who spoke up only when he felt the need to. When a fight broke out, he settled it. When someone felt their share was cut shorter than the others, they went to Adam first. He was their problem solver, their answer finder.

But this problem Davey was having could not be taken to Adam. Why? Because Adam was at the source of Daveys problem. He just didnt know what to do about his cold and fierce lover.

Thinking back to the first few days of their situation, he supposed Adam was simply applying his domination over Davey and soon would calm back down. No such luck. It seemed like every other night Adam cornered him in the bedroom and simply ravaged him until he was satisfied. It got to where Davey no longer looked forward to their intimate moments and lingered in Jades bedroom as much as he could

Finally frustrated, Jade sat up in bed and frowned at Davey. Look, are you going to tell me what it is, or are you just going to sit there all night? What the hells wrong, Davey? Why dont you want to sleep with Adam?

Davey froze. N-nothings wrong. No, nothing. he stood up, mumbling, Sorry, didnt mean to bother you. He hurried out the door before the next words could make their way out of Jades mouth. He stood in the hall, unsure of which way to go. There was the threat of being subjected to Adams raging libido, or a rough, injurious night on the couch? Was there much of a difference?

As he pondered, Jades door opened behind him. Davey, Jade began, about to apologize, but was cut off when Adams door opened.

He came out, wearing only a pair of loose pajama pants and a scowl. Adam moved forward and began pulling Davey into the room. Mine, he told Jade, you had him enough already.

Alright, alright, Jade said, hands up defensively, calm down, boy. Youve got your chew toy. Just dont bite. He meant it jokingly, and even saw Adams faint smile, but not Daveys. Instead, he saw the sad, resigned look to his friends eyes, just before Adam quickly shut the door.

Jade frowned. What was bothering Davey? Did it have anything to do with Adam? He slapped his palm against his forehead. Of course it did, Jade, you idiot! Why didnt he want to go to their bed, do you think?

Jades expression turned grim. He didnt want to think it of his friend, but anything was possible. And he hadnt seen any bruises or scratches on Davey lately, but then he wasnt in the habit of constantly checking out his friend. Davey was almost always happy and friendly. There was no need to question about anything, was there?

Nothing except those longing, lingering blank stares of his, right?

Jade cursed under his breath. Silently, he tip-toed over to their bedroom door and pressed his ear to the wood. Some shuffling sounds, the bed creaking, a faint moan. . . more creaking. . .

Face burning, Jade quickly moved away, not wanting either one of them to see he had been listening in on their lovemaking.

So. . . what was wrong with Davey? Jade didnt know, but he had to get Davey out of there. He gave one last look at Adams door before shutting his own.

****************************

He wasnt barging in, he told himself. After all, in his last phone conversation with Davey, he had mentioned them getting together soon. Brian just wanted to make soon a lot sooner than what Davey had in mind.

So he smiled faintly as he walked up the path and knocked sharply on the door. He waited all of five minutes before sighing in exasperation. Where the hell was everyone? He started knocking again, this time not stopping until Hunter opened the door. He wore his plumbers uniform and held a cup of Adams coffee in his hand as evidence that this was simply a breakfast stop on his way to work.

Wha? He began, but cut off when Brian pushed past him.

About time someone answered! He sighed disapprovingly while making his way in. He noted the lack of style to the house, the worn, barely standing furniture, and the apparent need of a cleaning service.

God! This place is filthy! Brian exclaimed while setting the two plastic bags down on the kitchen table. How on EARTH do you guys LIVE here? Im surprised the mess hasnt swallowed you all up by now!

Hunter, slightly more awake now, thanks to the coffee though not much more, shuffled after Brian, frowning. Who the hell are?

Brian cut him off sharply. Never mind all that. Just hurry and get these Heinekens in the fridge. When the other guys come, theyll be pissed to drink warm suds. Come on, now! Hurry up! And Davey? No, dont tell me. Ill go wake him up. That lazy boy. He left a bewildered Hunter to slowly put away the beers while muttering in confusion, other guys?

Meanwhile, in the hall, Brian smirked to himself. Now, where was Davey? He came up to the first door and peered in a bedroom, but it was empty. Boring. Next room, a bathroom, and to Brians delight NOT empty.

He stared in for a minute or two, then smiled. Well, well, someones had their beauty sleep.

Jade gave a yelp, then hurriedly wrapped the towel back around his still damp body.

Brian chuckled and closed the door again. Wouldnt Stefan like THAT mental picture? But Brian wasnt all that interested in Jade. Attraction? Yes, but he would rather find Davey first. Or better yet, what sort of position he was in with his Adam.

To his disappointment, the last door opened before he could reach it. Out walked Davey. Fully dressed and very much awake. He gave Brian a double-take, then smiled.

What are you doing here? he asked quietly, giving the door behind him a nervous glance or two.

Brian smiled. Waking you up, silly. Cant have my Davey caught still in bed, when the guys come, can I?

Daveys eyes widened. Guys?

Brian made a fake sigh. Yes, the guys. I overheard Tim, you know, of that band. . .

Rancid? Davey supplied.

Yes, that one, he and his friends were talking about a party yesterday. Except they didnt have a place to hold it, so one of them nominated Adams house. Since I knew those guys wouldnt have enough class to let you know this, I thought Id come early and make sure you werent in a . . . questionable. . . situation. His eyes flicked over Daveys shoulder to the bedroom door.

Davey blushed. Oh, uhm, well. . . He looked forward, smiling at Brian. Thank you, sweetie. I appreciate it, really.

Dont mention it. Brian simpered, eyes going low. Wouldnt dream of having my Daveykins being upset. He looked him over. Well, looks like I didnt need to come, after all. Where are you off to at this hour?

Davey smiled and nodded to the bathroom. Was going to see if Jade was done in there. But I dont think hes finished showering, yet.

Oh, hes done, Brian assured him, trust me. Ignoring Daveys puzzled expression, Brian turned and headed back to the living room just as Hunter came dashing through. When he spotted Davey, however, he stopped.

Oh, okay, he nodded, was coming to wake you up.

Why? Davey asked.

Yeah, why? Tim grinned as he followed Hunter. I could have woken Chicken Boy myself!

Pretending surprise, Davey smiled brightly and welcomed Tim heartily while inwardly thinking how lucky he was to have his new friend to help him. He made a mental note to ask around and find out her name.

***********************

The party was simply a barbecue for the most of the afternoon. Hunter left for work, Jade got dressed, and Adam woke up rather pleasantly surprised rather than furiously upset. As Lars oversaw the perfection of grilled meats, Tim, Adam, Jade, and two other guys they hardly knew were all now involved in a relaxing game of poker while rock tunes blasted from a mini boom box beside them. Davey and Brian took this time, before any of the other guys could come, to find a quiet space and have a talk.

So? Brian asked, lighting up another cigarette. Davey found them sickening at first. But now, it was simply just another part of his friend he accepted.

So, what? Davey replied, leaning against the wooden fence.

Brian gave a faint sneering smile. You going to tell me now? Whats with you and Adam? You keep telling me youre not, but its written all over your face. Especially this morning. That was his room, wasnt it?

Davey sighed. He looked at Adam, his expression deep in concentration over his cards. He needed to talk to somebody. Jade, his confidant, was no longer willing to hear him out. Hunter was oblivious to most of what was going on out of choice or disinterest. Davey had no other friend he could talk to openly with. He looked down at his shoes.

Yeah, we are. he said quietly. But please dont let him know I told you. He. . . doesnt want anyone to know.

Brian froze. What was that? Just behind Daveys words? Sorrow? Hurt? Resentment? That bastard. Brian said as he gently rubbed the back of Daveys neck. Hell fuck you but wont admit it. That it?

Davey nodded. He. . . he said he loved me once. I want to believe it, I honestly do. But he. . . his mouth snapped shut and his face burned.

Come on, tell me. Brian urged him, now taking his hand and petting. Let it out. Its not good to keep it in. And I think Im the only one youve told this so far, right? Does your Jade know?

No, Davey whispered, I kind of got him upset a little last night. I wanted to tell him, see if he could understand what I was going through, but he. . .

He wouldnt listen. Brian nodded. He didnt want to hear. Davey gave a slight indication of his head. Well, Im here. You can tell me. I promise, I wont gossip. Im not like that.

Davey smiled gently. Yeah, me either. he paused, then decided to just go on with it. Why not? He told her this much already, hadnt he? He. . . hes gotten a little rough lately. Not like hitting, no, never. Adam would never do that. But. . . theres. . .

No love? Brian offered.

Yes, I mean, no, no love. Davey said face burning. We used to. . . cuddle. Not all the time, just. . . but now, all he wants is. . . and I cant say no, or tell him I want something else because hell get mad and kick me out of the room. he turned troubled eyes to Brian. I love him, with all my heart. I cant stand the thought of being without him. Ever. I just. . . dont know what to do.

Brian took a drag and let the smoke out past his teeth in disgust. Hes a bastard, alright. Davey, if he wants a relationship with you, hes going to have to give a little, too. He cant expect you to bend over and put your ass in the air every time he says fuck! Hes got to treat you better than that.

I dont know how to show him. Davey muttered. Hes. . . he thinks that this is the way it has to be. Its ingrained in his mind. He wants to be the one in control. All the time. He wants to dominate, all the time. I dont mind, in honesty, but it would be nice, once in a while if he. . . he blushed and turned away.

Brians eyes widened slightly. Eh? If he what?

Davey looked over at the card table, at Brian, then back to the ground. He paused, then leaned over and whispered into Brians ear. Brian chuckled. No way! He doesnt? That jerk. You do him?

Face now red, Davey nodded. He wants it sometimes. Ive. . . never asked him. Im afraid hell say no.

Brian looked at Davey closely. He glanced over at the card table before he leaned close to his friend. You know, you dont have to lack in that area. You love him, but he wont do it, you know that. I can give you what you want. Id be more than happy to.

Davey looked up in surprise, but Brian cut him off. I know, I know, youre in love with the brute. I know that. And Im sure he loves you. My offer stands, though. Anytime in the future you want, Ill do it in a heartbeat. Brians eyes turned calculating as he watched Davey and smoked.

Davey gulped. Uhm, thank you. Thank you very much. Ill. . . keep that in mind. As he said that, he remembered what Adam had told him: youd better not like it.

No, Davey said, but if I ever had to do it, it would be YOUR fault, Adam, not mine.

He turned sad eyes back to his love who was oblivious to his hurt, as usual.

****************************

Jade had a plan to get Adam alone to talk to him. And it involved volunteering to get more drinks. He came back a few minutes later.

Adam, theres something in the kitchen I need to show you. he said quietly.

If its the sink, I know. Adam said, eyes not looking up.

No, its not that. Jade said out loud, then sent a silent, Its about Davey to his friend.

Adam looked up, eyes squinted from the angle of the suns rays. He looked Jades face over carefully. He nodded. Okay, let me see it, then.

Tim watched them go. Lars walked over. Hey, where they going?

Tim shook his head. Acting funny. Think they got some serious talking to do. Hows that meat coming? Im starved.

***********************

Whats up? Adam asked. He leaned against the counter, arms folded. Jade paced slightly, rubbing his hands together.

Now, look, he said, Davey hasnt told me a thing, as usual. He doesnt talk about what goes on between the two of you. But Im thinking that maybe the whole sharing a room thing isnt so good. Take for instance, this morning.

Adam nodded seriously. He knew what Jade was getting at. That had been a close call, hadnt it? If Davey hadnt already been dressed, they would have had to discuss a few things with Tim and the other guys.

He looked up at Jade. So, what? You want me to dump him? Call it off?

Jade frowned and shook his head. No, no. Not at all. Just, chill. You two can do everything you guys want, just. . . dont make it look like you guys are, okay? Unless you want to come out to the guys. . .

Adam glared at him sharply. Come out? What the hell does that mean?

Jade mentally kicked himself. Of course, Adam wouldnt see himself as being gay. He was Mr. Straight. Even if he was the straightest gay man Jade ever knew.

I mean, Jade spoke soothingly, you dont want to make it seem like youre coming out, right? The guys might not understand, not like we do. Right?

Slowly, Adam nodded. He rubbed his chin and peered sideways out the window. Yeah, yeah, I think youre right. No sense making them think were gay or something. He looked back at Jade. So what do you have in mind?

Jade smiled and rubbed his hands together. Trust me on this one.
