I had this in mind for a while. Since I got my hands on Alternator Sideswipe figure. The style in which this painting is going for will be a cross between Van Gogh (post impressionist) and some comic books (pop art) that are out there. For some reason I work alot faster with oil than with arylic. For this reason I decided to use oil for this paiting. It is not my first attem to do a oil painting . I have done one of a Predator figure, the other on Queen Alien, one that was a lizard that didn't turn out right and one on a SS dagger which came out pretty bad ass. :D Compare that to the 30 arcylic paintings I have done in the same pass four years I need the pratice on oil using. :) It will be difficult due to all those lines that Sideswipes' robot form has, but will be an interresting project to do no doubt. |
