These are some simple yet useful extensions I've developed for the Firefox web browser and the Thunderbird e-mail client. Please feel free to send your comments or suggestions to [email protected].

QuickPageZoom for: Firefox 3 – Current version: 1.5.0 Bored of using complicated keyboard shortcuts to zoom in/zoom out web pages? This extension adds two icons to the status bar and context menu items that enable quick access to the Full Page Zoom feature (Page Zoom In, Page Zoom Out and Reset Page Size) in Firefox 3.

Important Notice: Version 1.6.0 (pending review by Mozilla Add-ons Team) This latest release includes an Options Dialog (accessible through Firefox add-ons manager) which enables the user to configure the UI elements (show/hide elements). Release 1.6.0 is not yet public, but is currently available at http://www.babelzilla.org for translation and can be downloaded from this page—please feel free to test it! Version 1.5.1 (pending review by Mozilla Add-ons Team) Some English locale strings were missing from 1.5.0. You can try version 1.5.1, which is not yet public and fixes the problem, from this page. Version 1.5.1 also includes a new preference, extensions.quickpagezoom.showitems (accessible through about:config) which enables the user to show/hide UI elements. Please note this extension replaces QuickZoom and QuickZoom-CM extensions, which won't work with Firefox 3.0. QuickZoom for Firefox 2.0 can still be downloaded from here. QuickZoom-CM for Firefox 2.0 can still be downloaded from here. If you were using QuickZoom or QuickZoom-CM and upgraded to Firefox 3.0, be sure to UNINSTALL QuickZoom/QuickZoom-CM before you install this extension!

QuickZoom for: Firefox 2, Thunderbird 2 – Current version: 1.0.7 Adds two icons to the Firefox/Thunderbird status bar which enable quick access to the "Enlarge Text Size" (Ctrl++) and "Reduce Text Size" (Ctrl+-) menu commands. Right-clicking on either of the icons resets text size to "Normal Text Size" (Ctrl+0).

Important Notice: Firefox 3 Users QuickZoom won't be supported for Firefox 3.0. Please UNINSTALL. Instead, install QuickPageZoom (see above).

QuickRestart for: Firefox 2, Firefox 3 – Current version: 1.1.3 Ever needed to restart Firefox after enabling or disabling an extension, switching to a new theme, or modifying configuration files (such as userChrome.css or user.js)? This simple extension adds a "Restart Firefox" item to the File menu; you can also use the Ctrl+Alt+R keyboard shortcut and the new "Restart" toolbar button.

Important Notice: Version 1.1.4 Some English locale strings were missing from 1.1.3. You can try version 1.1.4 (still experimental), which fixes the problem, from this page. Version 1.1.5 – Translators Needed! Release 1.1.5 is currently available at http://www.babelzilla.org and is in the process of being translated!
