| Bahamas Trip - Part Five (Note: This all takes place at the same time.) �Um, Isabel, I really need to go ask Maria a question,� Michael spit out. He knew that he had to get away from her soon or he would either say or do something he would later regret. �Okay, Michael. I need to talk to Alex too,� Isabel smiled. She saw the look in Michael�s eye and she knew that he was thinking about her in any way other than a sister. �Thanks,� Michael said getting up. He felt Isabel watching him walk over to where Maria, Alex, and Liz sat. Michael sat down beside Maria and put his arm around her. Liz cried one last tear before went out of the restaurant. �Um. . .I need to go. . .um, talk to Isabel. Yeah! I need to go talk to Isabel,� Alex stuttered. *Wonder what�s wrong with him?* Michael thought. �Maria, I need to ask you something.� �What is it Michael?� Maria asked. *I hope Alex is okay*, she thought. �I was wondering if you�d like to do some site seeing with me tonight.� �Are you asking me out on a date Mr. Guerin?� Maria smiled. �Maybe, you�ll have to say yes to find out,� he said, playing along with her. �Well in that case-yes. I will do some �site seeing� with you tonight Michael,� Maria said, kissing him. �I might as well keep my end of the bargain�yes, Maria I did ask you out on a date,� Michael smiled. �That�s very good Michael because if you had said no then I would have slapped you faster than you could say �Huh�!� Maria told him. �That�s very comforting to know,� Michael said, his voice full of sarcasm. �I just thought that you should know since I didn�t get to do it,� Maria smiled. �Anyway, I�ll pick you up at seven?� Michael asked. �Make it seven-thirty and we have a deal,� Maria told him. �Seven-thirty,� Michael promised, picking up her hand and kissing it. He smiled and left the restaurant to join Tess and Liz in the car. �Ahhh,� Maria sighed. ********** �So Isabel, what�s up?� Alex asked, sitting beside Isabel. �Nothing really,� Isabel answered. �So what are you doing tonight?� �Well, that�s what I came over here for. Isabel, you wanna go out tonight?� Alex asked. �Sure. What do you wanna do?� Isabel asked with a smile on her face. �Well, I was thinking dinner and a movie.� �Sounds great Alex,� Isabel said, kissing him. Maria looked over at Alex from where she sat and she suddenly became jealous of Isabel. *What the hell? Since when am I jealous of Isabel Evans?* Maria thought. You were when you first heard about their destiny, a voice in her head said. She began to hum, trying to get that voice out of her head. ********** Michael walked out to the car and saw Liz and Tess talking about something. Max, he thought. He got in the car not even realizing what he was getting himself into. �So what you�re saying is that a future version of Max came to see you the night he sang to you?� Tess asked. �Yeah, that�s right, but Max can�t know. . . � Liz began. �What?� Michael asked, even though he knew the answer. �Nothing,� Liz said. She was so caught up in her conversation with Tess that she hadn�t even heard Michael open the car door. �No. You were talking about a future version of Max,� Michael began. �Tell me Liz�everything.� Liz looked at Tess, begging her with her eyes for her to tell Michael. �Michael, back before we left Roswell, something strange happened,� Tess started. �What do you mean?� Michael asked, clenching his fists. �Well, a future version of Max came to Liz�s room so that they could change the future. See, the reason why future Max came back was because his version of the past had him and Liz marry and since he and I weren�t together, the world came to an end. So he came back to try and change that. Liz tried everything�telling him that she didn�t love him and that she didn�t want to die for him and she even tried to get me to talk to Max. But none of it worked. So, she did something drastic. She went to Kyle and made it look like they had sex when they really didn�t. Max thinks that they did have sex and that�s why he�s been so crappy lately. But Max can�t know about future Max because if he does, both Max�s will disappear,� Tess explained. �So this entire thing is because you two are trying to change the future?� Michael asked. �Basically yes,� Tess said. �You got any other questions?� �Yeah but they�ll have to wait-here comes Max and the others,� Michael said. �Hey,� Max said as he got into the driver�s seat. �Hey Max,� Liz said. Max smiled at Liz as Michael got Maria settled in his lap and Alex did the same with Isabel. Max sighed as he started the car and drove back to the hotel. TBC. . . |
