| Bahamas Trip - Part Four (Note: This picks up where Isabel says, �You know Michael, if you keep talking like that, I�m going to start thinking you have some female intuition,� Isabel smiled.) �Shut up Isabel,� Michael glared. �Only if you start talking! You�re quiet enough for both of us!� Isabel retaliated. �Fine. You look really nice Isabel,� Michael said sincerely. And he was telling the truth but what he really wanted to say was �Isabel you look so hot in that outfit!� �Thank you Michael,� Isabel smiled. �Well?� �Well what?� �I started talking and now it�s your turn,� Michael said with a half-smile. *Oh God! Not that smile! I love that smile*, Isabel thought. �Okay, Michael, umm. . .� �You didn�t say anything right away! That means you don�t love me anymore!� Michael said, wiping away fake tears and beginning to laugh. �No, I still love you. It�s good to see you laugh Michael,� Isabel said looking in Michael�s eyes. �Well, I don�t have to worry about FBI spies or evil aliens here. Here we can just have fun and not worry about anything,� Michael said, looking in Isabel�s eyes. Isabel smiled and Michael reached out and took her hand. At that moment, both of them looked at their significant others and Michael immediately took his hand away. �So what do you think Liz is hiding from us?� Isabel asked. �I don�t know. And to be honest, I don�t think I want to know. All I know is that something happened that night between Liz, Max, Tess, and Kyle,� Michael said. �Max told me that Liz slept with Kyle,� Isabel said, looking down at the table. �What?� �That�s what Max told me. That�s why he�s been so depressed lately.� �Then this should make this trip very interesting,� Michael said. *In more ways than one.* ***** �Liz, what aren�t you telling us?� Alex persisted. �Maria?� Liz asked her friend. �Alex, Liz slept but didn�t sleep with Kyle,� Maria told him. �Let me get this straight�What?� Alex said, his confusing showing in his voice and his face. �Liz had to get Max to fall out of love with her so she pretended to sleep with Kyle, but nothing happened." �Oh, I see,� Alex said, squeezing Liz and Maria�s hands. �Needless to say, it worked better than I ever wanted it too,� Liz said, another tear falling down her cheek. Maria used her free hand to wipe away the tear. �Liz, I need to know�everything,� Alex said, leaning in closer to Liz and Maria. �Maria?� �I want to know too,� Maria said, squeezing Alex�s hand, who in return, squeezed hers and Liz�s. �Okay. After we got back from the physic, I was in my room when a future version of Max came to see me in my bedroom. He told me that if I didn�t get the present Max to fall out of love with me then the world would come to an end. I tried everything! I told Max that we couldn�t be together anymore and that didn�t work. So then I went to Tess. I told her that I thought her and Max belonged together and that I would need her help in order to do that. So I had her and Max meet in front of Whitakers office and it almost worked until Max saw me looking at him from the office. He came into the office and kissed me and I turned down a chance to go to the Gomez concert with him. . .� Liz began. �Wait a minute! You gave up Gomez tickets! Liz why didn�t you tell me! I would have gone!� Maria said, not believing her ears. �I�m getting there. Hold on. Okay, the reason why I turned down Gomez was because future Max told me that the night of the Gomez concert Max and I wouldn�t go. We�d make love,� Liz looked up at her friends to see what their reaction was to her story�Alex was having a hard time believing it (you can just tell with Alex) and since Maria knew most of the story, she didn�t really have a reaction. �So I went for the last resort. I went to Kyle and told him that I needed a favor. He agreed�saying something about meditation but when Max came to my window and I saw the look on his face. . .� Liz trailed off as she began to cry, seeing Max�s face in her mind. �I understand most of your story Liz, but what I still don�t understand is how future Max got here,� Alex said. �The Granalith. Future Max told me that the Granalith has a huge amount of power that and that it wasn�t originally used for time travel but they had found a way to use the power and energy in the Granalith for time travel. Do you get it now?� Liz explained. �You lost me after �huge amount of power� but I catch your general drift,� Alex said. �Maria?� Liz looked at her best friend. �I understand. And I�m here for you,� Maria said, putting her arm around Liz. �Alex?� �You know me. I�m here for you Liz,� Alex said, squeezing his hand. �Thanks guys. And, believe it or not, everybody except Michael and Isabel are behind me too,� Liz said, a small smile showing on her face. �What do you mean?� Alex said, the look of confusion returning to his face. �Tess is behind me and Max, well, I think he finally understands why I did what I did. And Michael and Isabel have no clue what�s going on. Well, Isabel might because Max may have told her but I don�t know about Michael,� Liz said as her smiled faded. �Isabel thinks that you and Kyle slept together, but she doesn�t know it�s not true,� Alex put in. �How do you know?� Maria asked, eyeing him. �She told me,� Alex said, secretly happy that she was acting like she was a bit jealous. �Oh, okay,� Maria said. �Anyway, Liz, do you think you�ll be okay?� �Yeah, now that I�ve finally told somebody the whole story I think I�ll be okay. But none of you can tell Max about future Max,� Liz warned. �Why?� Alex asked. �He wouldn�t tell me. All I know is that if present Max finds out about future Max then something bad will happen�they would both cease to exist,� Liz confessed. �What do you mean �cease to exist�?� Alex asked. �I mean, future Max and present Max won�t be here,� Liz explained. �No wonder you won�t tell him.� ***** �Are you going to be okay Max?� Tess asked. �To be honest, I don�t really know,� Max confessed. �Everything�s going to be fine Max. I�m sure of it.� �Oh really? How do you know? Huh?� �Excuse me! But I had to leave two people back in Roswell! And one of them I love as much as I do you Max! So that�s how I know!� �I�m sorry Tess, I had no idea.� �You know Max, for some one who�s loved a human for so long, you really doesn�t know what it�s like to love a human,� Tess replied. She didn�t mean for it to come out like it did, but she couldn�t help it. �Max, the majority of the time you think about anything except yourself. Except when it comes to Liz. Whenever you think about Liz, that�s the only thing you think about. And you know what else Max?� When Max didn�t reply, Tess continued. �Face it Max. No matter what Liz does to you, you�re still in love with her. You could be with me forever and it would be her face you�d see at night�not mine.� And with that, Tess got up out of her chair, leaving Max and the others behind. TBC . . . |
