Bahamas Trip - Part Two

We did say ten minutes right? Michael said, his voice laced with annoyance.
Michael, we are talking about Maria, Liz, Tess, AND Isabel here, Alex pointed out.
Good point, Michael said as he sat down on a beach chair.
Were here! Isabel announced.
Its abo. . . Michael began.  As soon as he saw the girls in their outfits, his voice box closed over.
The girls were all wearing bikinis.  Maria was wearing a light blue bikini with no straps.  Isabel was wearing a hot pink bikini that tied around her neck.  Liz was wearing a maroon colored regular bikini.  And Tess was wearing a yellow that can only be described as vibrant bikini with matching shorts.
Ill take your speechless reaction as to say that you like our outfits? Maria asked, striding up to Michael and as Isabel went over to Alex.
Uh-huh, Alex answered for all them.
Max looked from Liz to Tess and back.  He thought both of them looked great.  But he didnt want to go Tess because it would hurt Lizs feelings and he didnt want to go to Liz because he couldnt trust her anymore.  So he decided on going to Tess because Liz had no idea what seeing her in that bikini did to him.  She may have betrayed him but he still loved her, no matter who he was with.
You look good Tess, Max said, taking her hand.
Thanks Max, she smiled.
Liz, you and Maria look very nice in your bikinis, Alex said seeing the look on Lizs face when Max went to Tess instead of her.
Thanks Alex, Liz smiled.  Even though she was dying inside.  Maria reluctantly let go of Michael and went over to her best friend.
I have an idea, in about two hours, why dont we all go out to lunch! Maria proudly announced.
Sounds good, but Maria? Michael said, a sly gleam in his eye as he came towards her and Liz.
Yeah Michael? Maria said, and seeing the gleam in his eye, she backed away from him.
Im sorry baby, Michael said before picking her up and throwing her into the warm water.  And Isabel, Liz, and Tess soon followed.  Max, Michael, and Alex all stood on the sand laughing when they realized that Isabel was no longer in the water.  Um, guys, wheres Isabel?
Im right here, Isabel said from behind them.  Before they knew anything, Isabel raised her hand and soon all of the guys were in the water, leaving a laughing Isabel on the sand.

*****Two Hours Later*****

So where are we gonna go? Maria asked, sitting on Michaels lap.
I dont know.  Max?  You won this trip, you pick it, Michael suggested.
How about right here? Max said, nodding to the small caf.
Looks good, Alex said, readjusting the woman sitting on his lap.  Liz was scrunched between the four people, forcing herself not to look at the couple in the front.
Liz, what do you think? Maria asked.
As hungry as I am, Id eat out of a trash can! Liz said, smiling.  And soon everyone in the car was laughing.
So I guess this is where were eating, Max said, pulling into a nearby parking space.  Soon everyone was out of the car and they told the waitress that they needed three separate tablesone for Maria and Michael, Alex and Isabel, and, much to Lizs displeasure, one for Max, Tess, and Liz.  Soon they were all seated near each other.
Um, Tess, could you please leave for a little while?  I need to talk to Max? Liz politely asked.
Sure, Tess nodded, understandingly.  Tess got up and went over to see Alex and Isabel.
Liz moved into Tess seat, which was next to Max.  Max, are you going to avoid me forever?
No.  Its just that whenever I see you, all I see is you and Kyle, Max said, trying not to look at her.
Max, I have to tell you something, but you have to look at me, Liz said, putting a kind hand on his cheek.  Slowly, Max turned his head.  Liz spoke softly, Max, I didnt sleep with Kyle.  I had to make you fall out of love with me.  Max, we dont belong together.  That was the hardest thing Ive ever had to do.  And you have no idea how bad I wanted to go up to you and kiss you and take you in my arms.
But why, Liz?  All you said was that you needed me to fall out of love with you, Max said, looking in her eyes.
I had to Max.  We dont belong together.
But I love you.
I love you too Max.  I want us to be together, but. . .
Liz, I want you back in my life, Liz, but I dont think that I can risk you breaking my heart again, Liz.  You lied to me, Liz, and I dont think that I can trust you again.  Im sorry, Liz, but Tess and I are together and I think that it would be best if you were with a human instead of an alien.
Lizs heart was breaking as Max told her this.  She wanted to nothing but kiss him and make him believe that he was wrong and that she loved him and that she would never break his heart again, but she knew in her heart that he was right.  Max, I love you and I will always love you, but youre right.
Her words caught him off guard.  He wasnt expecting her to agree with him.  Liz, Im sorry, he said, giving her a small kiss on the cheek.  They both knew that it was going to be one the last kisses they ever gave each other.
Max, are you okay? Tess said, interrupting them.
Yeah, Max said sadly, looking at Liz.  Liz nodded and went over and sat with Alex and Isabel.
Max, are you sure? Tess asked, sitting down.  Max was still looking at Liz.
To be honest, I dont know.  I feel like part of my human side has just been taken away, Max said, a lone tear falling down his cheek.

**********
Liz watched that tear fall down his cheek and off of his chin.  All she wanted to do was to go and kiss his tears away.  But then she saw Tess put her hand over Maxs and then she saw Max squeeze and it and she felt as if her heart was being ripped out.
Alex saw Liz look down at the table, but he knew that she wasnt seeing it.  Alex reached over and put his hand over Lizs reassuringly.
Liz smiled at Alexs kindness.  All she hoped was that Isabel didnt treat Alex the way she had treated Max.  Liz would kick her ass if she did.
