| Bahamas Trip - Part One �Congratulations Max Evans! You�ve won a trip for you and six other people to the Bahamas! Now tell everybody who plays the most music in Roswell, New Mexico!� the radio DJ said into his microphone. �KROZ,� Max said before he hung up the phone. Great! he thought. Here I am trying to get Liz Parker off my mind and I have to go and win a trip for me and six other people. I know I�m going to take Isabel, Michael, Maria, Alex, and Tess. But should I take Liz or Kyle? Liz. . .no, I�ve got to get Liz off my mind. I�ll take Kyle. . .no, if something happens, Sheriff Valenti will need help and Kyle will be more help than Liz. After he finished self-chastising for a little while before he finally decided on taking Liz. Face it Evans, a voice in his head told him, you still love her and you always will. ********** �I can�t believe we�re going to the Bahamas!� Maria Deluca told her best friend, Liz Parker, as they walked down the aisles of bathing suits. �I know,� Liz said, her voice laced with sorrow. �Liz, what�s wrong?� �Nothing.� �Liz, we�ve been best friends since what? The beginning of time? You know you can tell me anything.� �Maria, you know that I slept with Kyle.� �Sadly yes.� �Well. . .it didn�t really happen. I was lying.� �Thank god! Wait, why did you lie?� �I had to get Max to fall out of love with me. You see, we aren�t destined to be together.� �But the tarot. . .� �Forget the tarot cards Maria! You just have to trust me!� �Okay, Liz. I trust you,� Maria said, hugging her best friend. �Thanks Maria. Now let me help you find that perfect bikini for �Mr. Stone Wall�!� Liz said with a smile. ********** �Can you believe it?!� Isabel said excitedly into the phone. �Isabel calm down! And yes, I can believe it,� Michael told his �sister�. �You don�t sound too excited about it.� �I�m excited, just in my own way.� �Screw �your own way� Michael! I know you�re excited about going whether you�ll admit it or not!� Isabel screamed before slamming the phone down. ********** �Kyle, you know Max doesn�t like you. Or trust you for that matter,� Alex said as their waitress brought them their food. �But he doesn�t trust Liz either,� Kyle one-upped him as he took a bite of his Saturn burger. �He just needed another person to go�who wasn�t an adult.� �True,� Kyle admitted. �So are you excited about going?� �You know it!� Alex said, getting excited. �I can�t wait to see Isabel and Maria in their bathing suits!� �Alex, did you just say Isabel AND Maria?!� Kyle asked accusingly. �No,� Alex lied while blushing at the same time. �Yes you did!� Kyle accused. �I gotta go. I promised my dad that I would, uh, clean the garage!� Alex said, rushing out the door. �But you don�t have a garage!� Kyle yelled at Alex before he started to laugh. He smiled and finished his meal. ********** �Flight 77 to the Bahamas is now boarding,� the flight announcer called over the loud speaker. �That�s us,� Max announced, getting his bags. �I think they should have gotten another flight just to take Maria, Liz, Tess, and Isabel�s luggage,� Michael said, struggling with his and Maria�s bags. �I agree,� Alex said, struggling with his and Isabel�s luggage. �Excuse me, sir, but would you like some help with your bags?� a gentleman in a uniform asked the guys. �Yes!� Michael and Alex said at the same time. �Just put the bags onto this luggage cart and you may roll your bags onto the plane. Enjoy your flight,� the man said, tipping his hat. The guys piled all the luggage onto the cart and headed for the plane. ********** Max had been able to get all of them seats near each other. On the outside aisle, sat Michael and Maria. On the middle aisle were Tess, Max, Isabel, and beside Isabel was Liz. And poor Alex was stuck on the outside aisle with an old guy who slept and snored loudly the entire time. ********** �How was your flight?� a lady asked behind the counter, her face not leaving her computer. Six �Fine�s came out and one �Terrible� was announced. �Why wasn�t your flight good sir?� �Well, I sat beside an old guy who slept and snored the entire way here! And. . .� Alex began to explain. �Alex,� Isabel interrupted, flashing him a perfect smile and a set of puppy dog eyes. �Sir?� the flight attendant asked, finally looking up from her computer. �Yeah?� Alex asked, dreamily. His gazed was fixed on Isabel. �Would you like to continue?� �About what?� �Your flight.� �It was perfect.� �Okay,� the attendant said, going back to her computer. �Alright! We�re here! Let�s have some fun!� Maria announced. �Speak for yourself Deluca,� Michael said, pulling the luggage cart up to the group. �Shut up Michael,� Tess warned. �We�re here in one of the most beautiful places in the world you you�re already complaining.� But then she looked at Max and Liz and immediately felt sorry about what she had said. She knew that Max still loved Liz, but she had broken that trust by sleeping with Kyle. Things would never be the same between the three of them ever again. �Max, you wanna help me out here?� Michael asked, struggling with the cart. �Sure,� Max said, running over to Michael. �Liz, are you okay?� Maria asked as soon as the guys were out of earshot. �What do you think?� Liz replied as see saw Max laugh at something Tess had said. �I understand. But no guy, especially Max, is going to resist you in the outfits we bought!� �I hope you�re right.� ********** �This place is beautiful!� Maria said, opening the door that led onto the balcony. �Yeah, it really is,� Tess agreed as she stepped beside Maria and Liz. �It smells really good too,� Liz said, taking a deep breath. �Well, I don�t know about you, but I�m going to go change and enjoy the beauty and smells of this place!� Tess said, leaving Maria and Liz alone on the balcony. �So are you going to put your feelings for Tess aside on this trip?� Maria asked. �I guess I�ll have too. But I think she and I can get along, for a little while,� Liz said. �Hey!� Isabel said, announcing her presence. �Hello Isabel,� Maria and Liz said with fake enthusiasm. �Hey, I told the guys that we�d meet them on the beach in ten minutes!� Isabel said cheerfully. �TEN MINUTES?!� Maria and Liz screamed at the same time. �I can�t be ready in ten minutes!� Maria said running around the hotel room. �I can�t find my suitcase!� Liz said, throwing her hands in the air. Isabel had to fight from laughing at how Maria and Liz looked. She pulled out her watch and timed just how long it would take all of them to get ready. She knew Tess was in the bathroom and Isabel already had her bathing suit on underneath her outfit. She sat down on the bed and watched Maria and Liz go from suitcase to suitcase getting their stuff.
