Roll balls in coconut.
Place smaller ball on top of larger one.
The smaller ball will be the head.
The larger ball will be the abdomen.

Cut top off of each cake and hollow out a space.
Fill with Jello brand pistachio pudding (kids make this too) and replace tops.
Ice the cake with favorite icing.
Add licorice legs and gum drop eyes.

Super Fast Spider Cookies

We do this as an independant cooking project each.
Make sure kids have clean hands then let them create!

2 rolls of Pillsbury Halloween sugar cookie dough.
Bowl of raisens
Bowl of red hots
Bowl of peanuts
Bowl of small licorice strips
Bowl of chow mein noodles
Bowl of cheerios cereal

Provide children with a clean playdough set.
Use one that you squeeze different shapes of dough
through different patterned seives. The one I use is
the old Kitchen Playdough set with noodle and french fry seives.

When they finish their "cookie" place on a pan and follow sugar cookie dough directions to bake.

Clean up time is not the nightmare you imagine.
Provide kids with an old tooth brush and a bucket of soapy water.
When they get tired of cleaning you'll be surprised how little you have to re-do.
