PICKY PUMPKINS
Little Frozen Pumpkins
Get child safe pumpkin cutters or let adult do the
cutting and kids pack the ice cream and insert candy stick.1 navel orange per child
1 black licorice or red swizzler stick per child
Chocolate ice cream (or favorite)Cut top off of orange
Cut a hole in the middle of the orange top.
Scoop out pulp from orange.
Cut pumpkin face on orange.
Fill with ice cream.
Wipe off any excess that came out of face holes.
Put orange top back on and insert candy stick in hole.
Freeze then eat!

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
The other version of this is in the Halloween lesson plans if I remember correctly.
They both taste the same but this one
also teaches the soaking effects of salt.
Kids take all seeds out of pumpkin and rinsed off.
Soak pumpkin seeds for 24 hours in saltwater.
1/4 cup to 1 cup of water.
Spread on cloth covered cookie sheet and roast at
100 degrees for 2 hours. Turn off oven and leave overnight.

Pumpkin Dessert
1 package cinnamon graham crackers
3 tablespoons margarine
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup pumpkin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 quart vanilla ice milkMake crumbs of crackers. Add melted margarine to crumbs.
Press in bottom of 8" x 8" pan. In a saucepan, soften gelatin in water.
Add pumpkin, salt and cinnamon. Stir over low heat
until gelatin dissolves. Pour mixture into bowl. Fold in
softened ice milk. Spoon over crust. Freeze.

No-Bake Pumpkin Pie
1 can prepared pumpkin pie
1 package vanilla instant pudding
1 cup milkLet kids mix all together and pour into graham craker pie shell.
