Lay different dental related
objects beside the beam. Have children identify as they pass them. Make brushing sounds while going down the beam sideways. Lay beam on the floor flat. Jump back and forth counting
one-brushywashy, two brushywashy etc... Slide feet on the floor beside the beam
makeing brushing sounds with your feet. Staple sandpaper on two pieces of wood.
Let the kids rub them as they walk the beam.
Play
The Guessing Game and use small felt Teeth, small toothbrush, small toothpaste tube, small play food, etc... Sit in a circle and pass the toothpaste around, when the music stops whoever is
holding the toothpaste needs to go to the Dentist (center of circle). Use White Magic Tooth Box
with top off and toss White styrofoam packing pieces into it.
Toss green packing pieces into trash can. Sew tooth shaped pieces of white
material onto beanbags. Balance them on different parts of your body as you cross the beam.
Take old toothbrushes outside
with small cups of water and brush the toys. Cut up an old sheet and make small white capes.
Play Super Tooth To The Rescue!. Set up an obstacle course with cutout teeth taped to each object.
Go in, around, through, over, under to get get to the dentist. Play hide and seek teeth using small cutouts of paper teeth.
Go out before children arrive and hide the teeth all over. Provide a bucket to hold them as children find the teeth. Make and take dental headbands outside. White paper
headbands with a cardboard circle in front covered with tin foil. Provide rides to the dentist with wagons. Spread sand on the sidewalk and shuffel feet to make brushing sounds. Play Tooth Relay. Have children run, hop, skip, twirl, jump,
walk, hop waving paper teeth in the air as they go.
Play Red Rover
with Toothy or Dentist in front of childs real name.
Example:
Red Rover, Red Rover send Toothy-John right over. Play Red Light, Green Light with the "it" person
holding Dental bag, wearing donated white coat or dental headband. Each child gets a turn.
