1 cup flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix ingredients with enough warm water to form dough like
a pie crust until pliable. Pat and flatten pieces of dough into 8" circles.
Fry dough until lightly browned on one side. Flip and fry other side.
Drain on paper towels. Eat with honey or maple syrup.
4 ounces margarine
2 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
8 ounces cream corn
1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients.
Combine with remaining ingredients. Bake in 8" x 8" pan
at 300 degrees for 35 minutes.
1 pint Half & Half
1 clear plastic jar (I use a clean peanut butter jar)
Just pour the Half & Half in and let the kids shake!
It WILL turn into butter if you shake long enough.
You need to take a turn also to put in few good hard shakes.
Use on cornbread!
Warm juice to 110 degrees. Add yeast,1 tablespoon honey,
and flour. Set in warm place until bubbly (10 to 15 min)
Beat egg. Combine remaining ingredients with egg. Stir egg
mixture into yeast mixture. Fill cups of muffin pan half full.
Place in 150 degree oven for 40 minutes. Remove. Pre-heat oven to
350 degrees. Bake for 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine flour, sugar and orange peel.
In another bowl, beat egg. Stir in orange juice and oil.
Mix everything together lightly till just moistened.
Fill muffin cups and bake about 18 minutes.
Combine cream cheese, orange peel and sugar.
Add orange juice till smooth.
