FINGERPAINT RECIPES
Finger Paint
1/2 c. cornstarch
1 c. cold water
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
2 c. hot water
1/2 c. soap flakes or detergentDissolve cornstarch in 3/4 cup cold water.
Soak gelatin in remaining 1/4 c. cold water.
Add hot water to cornstarch mix.
Cook on medium heat, until it starts to boil and is clear.
Remove from heat and blend in softened gelatin.
Add soap and stir until dissolved.
Cool, and divide into jars.
Color each one with food coloring.

Soap Flake Method
Mix in a small bowl:
Soap flakes
Small amount of waterLet kids beat until stiff with an eggbeater.
Use white soap on dark paper or add colored tempera
paint to the soap and use on light paper.

Uncooked Laundry Starch
1 cup laundry/liquid starch
1 cup cold water
3 cups soap flakes

Flour And Salt
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
3 cups cold water
2 cups hot water
food coloringAdd salt to flour, then pour in cold water slowly.
Beat mixture with an egg beater until smooth.
Add hot water and boil until it becomes clear.
Beat until smooth, then mix in coloring.Use 1/4 cup food coloring to 8 to 9 ounces of paint for strong colors.

Flour Uncooked
1 pint water (2 cups)
1 1/2 cups instantized flour
(The kind used to thicken gravy)Put the water in the bowl and stir the flour into the water.
Add color.
Regular flour will be lumpy.
