DIP DESIGNS
Give each child a piece of foil the same size as their paper.
Have them gently crinkle the foil leaving ridges and dips.
They then brush paint across foil.
Lay paper on top of foil and gently pat here and there.
Pick paper up and hang dry.
This teaches how to be gentle and light as well as the word.
Fill an old dishpan with water.
Drip small amounts of enamel paint onto water.
You can use several different colors at once or just one.
Slightly swirl the paint with a stick.
Have children gently lay thick paper on the surface.
Then gently peel off and lay somewhere flat to dry.
Fill 4 or 5 bowls with water.
Add a different food color to each bowl,
make sure they are very deep in color.
Give each child a headband size strip of paper.
Let them dip parts of the headband in each color.
Let dry. You can then glue it onto another thicker piece
of paper so the headband will last longer.
