Why My Support To Him?

To answer this I will definitely put his work for the community first. He is the man who made me feel, all of us should use our knowledge for the development of the society.

Moreover, a family event of mine, my father late Advocate Abdul Halim, went to India for his heart treatment just before 6 months of his death on 1999 6th November. During that time he was not in good health and one side of his brain was affected with previously occurred heart attack. Still being in this situation, out of respect to Dr. Yunus he copied a saying of Yunus from the reception room of Manipal Heart Foundation, Bangalore, India and Consultation Room of famous Cardio-Surgeon Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty and the writing is “This is massage of hope, a program for putting homelessness and destitution in a museum so that one day our children will visit it and ask how we could have allowed such a terrible thing to go on for so long.(Muhammad Yunus, Dhaka, March 15, 1997)” When he came back from India he typed it and circulated it among all his friends and family members. One copy came to me and that was the last gift for me from my father. I keep that paper in my moneybag since then. So you can understand, I am just putting my feet in the same shoe of my father.

After 6th November, 1999, my mother Lutfunnesa asked me, she want to see me do good in my study and want me to stay back in country having got my higher education. Along with that she want to see her son as great as Dr. Yunus while carrying my father’s practices and norms. On that day I promised myself I will try my best to explore my knowledge for the benefit of my beloved country and surely try my best to become someone like Dr. Yunus of Bangladesh. I am just more than happy on his great achievement---Nobel Peace Prize 2006! My heartiest congratulation to him and thank you all who voted here since 2005.
