This paper investigates causes of existing shortfall in the energy sector in Bangladesh and reviews available renewable energy to help Bangladesh supplement their energy supplies. This paper discussed the basics of electricity and its production and thus tried to educate people in this sector. Then it discusses various renewable energy and suggested the ones best suited for Bangladesh. It also appeals the people to adopt a source of energy at their premises that can be useful for the electricity production. Finally, it discussed the shortfalls that impede the growth of the energy sector and confer their probable solutions.

The main objective of the project is not only to pin point the probable sectors of electricity production but also to deal with technical, practical and theoretical aspects of electricity production from conventional sources, renewable energy, and via any other uncharacteristic sources of energy to meet the electricity demand of Bangladesh.
