The structure of the Teachers Days was as follows: two plenary sessions, one by Jasone Cenoz (EHU/UPV) and the other by Ignasi Vila (Universitat de Girona); a round table session where the integration of languages (in this case Basque, Spanish and English) was discussed; and also a range of simultaneous talks aimed at different educational levels (Infant, Primary, Secondary, General).

Jasone Cenoz gave her plenary session about
"English in Europe and Multilingual Schooling Aims".

Due to an organisational difficulty beyond our control, Ignasi Vila's paper, "
La enseanza de una tercera lengua en un contexto bilinge", was postponed to a later hour and in his place Juan Manuel Sierra (EHU/UPV) gave a general session about "Task Based Language Teaching".

According to the evaluation sheets, apart from the plenary sessions and the round table, the talks which people most enjoyed were: "
Introducing a Third Language. Why? When? How? The Drama Format As An Organising Principle" given by Diana Lindsay; "Seven Kinds Of Balance" by Mark Wilson and "Developing Autonomy Through Reading" and "Spoken Languages and Communication Strategies" by Carmen Fernandez Santas.

The evaluation sheets also positively valued the organisational aspects of the Teachers Days and the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with other teachers. Many comments showed encouragement to continue such meetings.

In addition to the main activities we once again had the opportunity to see the ETC (English Teaching Theatre Company) perform their latest production at that time, designed for the upper levels of Primary.

We also had the pleasure of the company of the San Sebastian Chamber Choir, who along with the raffle of 20 prizes of assorted material for English Language Teaching (books, dictionaries, software, etc.) provided the finishing touch to the Teachers Days.

The prizes for the raffles were donated by the various publishing companies which had the opportunity to present their latest materials at the stands situated in the entrance hall.
