It was rather interesting when Sandroo got his paw stuck in the top of the pumpkin after he had cut the top out.  Funnier still was watching him scoop out the innards, him elbow deep in pumpkin with the weirdest expressions on his face!  Fun, fun!  In the end, Gerren came up with a rather complex design of a werewolf on the prowl, while Razzas group took a little longer to decide on a design.  They finally settled with a very cute looking Razzy wolfy face, with what looked to be lightning bolts going down either side (we later learned that it was supposed to be fur).

All the while, ALW was passing out pancakes, which were all enthusiastically received, and the pumpkin seeds were put on the stove to bake (mind you, I was the only one who really ate any of them they werent THAT bad).  Also, Sandroo was determined to do something with the flesh parts of the pumpkin, and in the end he came up with some sort of pumpkin jam that most of us just kind of poked at, and it spent the rest of the weekend sitting at the bottom of a pan untouched.

Anyway, when the time came for judging, both pumpkins were placed on two chairs on one side of the room.  The judging was divided into three parts:  Originality, Light output, and Scariness.  I dont remember exactly who got what for each part, but our team won 25 points against Razzas teams 23 points.  Although they got a full 10 points for scariness when their pumpkin literally engulfed in
flames!  Cheers to MegaDog and his firelighters.  The Razzy  pumpkin was placed outside in the rain, and it still took about ten minutes before the flames finally went out.  Our groups pumpkin was then put on display in a little alcove in the wall.

Soon afterwards, we all got together again in the main room and turned the lights out.  We had a nice little camp fire effect going on, with the glowing pumpkin, the fire place and the three candles placed in the center of the room.  Rainwolf and Gerren brought out the guitar and started singing, (quite well, too!) and then afterwards Utlah brought up a rather interesting game we could play.  Its a bit complicated to describe in full detail, but Ill give it a shot.

The game involves the passing of cards, each with symbols on it.  Theres a moderator who controls the game, a seer, two werewolves and then the rest are villagers.  The game is also divided into Day and Night.  The main object of it is to have everyone close their eyes, and during the Night part of the game the two werewolves decide on a person to kill.  Once thats done, the werewolves close their eyes and the seer opens his/her eyes, and tries to guess who the werewolves are.  Then it switches to Day, everyone opens their eyes, and the villagers have to decide on someone to lynch, hoping that its one of the werewolves.  Most of the time though the villagers just ended up killing each other, and the werewolves did a very good job at staying alive!  We must have played about ten rounds of this game, a few with slight variations.  It was a lot of fun!  Many thanks go out to Utlah for bringing it up.

After that, the lights went back on and we all sat around talking again.  Lonewolf decided to pull out his furry fox mask, which was basically made from the same mold as Daves wolf mask, but with slight variations.  Still quite impressive nonetheless!  Again, we were up until around 2am, and then it was off to bed.

Today I woke up at 9am, and was surprised to find that I was the first one up, although Razza was up quite soon afterwards.  We started the morning off pretty much the same as usual, talking and making bacon sandwiches for breakfast.  Somehow we ended up starting a game of I Spy which I thought was quite interesting seeing as how Id never actually been bored enough to play it in all my life.  After we had established just how stupid the game actually was, and once everyone was finally up, we decided where we were to go for the day.  Since we couldnt go off to Chillingham Castle as we had originally planned due to the fact that it was a good few hours drive away, we decided that wed try for Carlisle Castle instead.

And so we started off, this time switching into different vehicles; I got to ride in Utlahs car with Ryath and Dave, while ALW and Razza tried the Land Rover, and Rainwolf, Lonewolf and Sandroo went off in Gerrens car.  Just for the record, Utlahs driving was really not all that spectacularly frightening, as I had previously been told.  In any case, once we got into town everyone decided that we should find somewhere to eat, and so we stopped by this Deep Pan Pizza place where I bought an expensive plate of spaghetti that I didnt even end up finishing.  Ahwell.
