House of filth

It happened again. This time 80 animals were taken from a "house of filth" in Coal Township. Eleven animal welfare agencies from across the state were called in to assist in yesterday's seizure.

This is the 4th case in 6 months they have found of animals living in such retched conditions. The last three cases were discovered back in August . One of the tenants eventually plead guilty to animal cruelty and related charges.

The sad part about this current case is that the city knew about problems at this house for 20 years and did nothing. Similarly, they had also been receiving complaints about the Kase Street houses for over a year and a half (which served as the city's wake-up call to take these calls more seriously).
