Tomorrow is Coal Miners Day and the local paper is running a series about how they lived when Coal was king. The story linked above first ran in The (Shamokin) Independent in 1902.
We're a week out from the big day, but it is already safe to say that a 'white Christmas' is pretty much out of the picture. Its okay because I don't like snow - heck I spent 3 years in the California desert and an additional 3 years in Miami so record tying highs aren't a problem for me.
Speaking of Miami, their semester ended on Friday. This means that is no way that UB will get those missing recommendations until after the semester begins again in mid-January. Nothing I can really do about that now so... Servus and Happy Holidays.
