I recieved two pieces of mail yesterday (one electronic, one physical). One was an invitation from the UB Creative Writing department to attend its' annual "Plorkfest" (sorry no link), and the other was an advent calandar from St John's.

The UBalt thing is the more interesting story here. Up to that point I had nearly forgotten about my MFA application between Black Friday and helping my mom put up decorations. However, I'm not sure how to interpret this invite - is it tentamount to acceptance or just a simple "mass invite" to everyone who gave them their address in the past few years? I prefer the former idea, but know with two recommendations still "missing" that it is more certain to be the the latter.

I've been trying to get myself back into the MFA mode the past 24 hours, but with Christmas coming and especially my birthday  being tomorrow, I'll probably have to wait on the re-charge. Servus!
