So, as all seven of my devoted readers probably know by now, Ernesto turned out to be a weak joke. The constant threat of hurricane's is one of the few reason's I'm glad to be out of South Florida, but the fact that Ernesto hit so weakly is undoubtedly good news for Florida, its embattled residents and the insurance companies.

Just as we were getting the water out of the basement from the June flood, the region was hit with two days of heavy rain and the looming threat of the whatever remains of Ernesto as it heads northward basically meaning that my efforts downstairs may be starting anew come this weekend.
