Why is it when people give you a writing prompt its almost invariably the same one. I have a copy of the Writers Idea Book on my Wal*Mart bookshelf that lists over a thousand different creative prompts, yet anytime someone gives you a prompt invariably its this one. How is someone supposed to write creatively on such a stale, generic, least-common-denominator topic?
