Dear Mr Triplett, I was the door gunner that Richard Gupton replaced the day he was KIA. He was not ordered to go but took my place because I was very ill with a sinus infection. Gupton was a good friend and his loss is part of my severe PTSD. I have always wanted to see his wife and kids and at least now I have a starting point. I have talked to Ebert and Frankenfield and I was with the CO when we went to the Hospital to see Ebert that night. Welcome home brother John tompkins

I also think it is a one in a million shot that I e mailed my son who is Dan Triplett and with moving to MS, his email address changed. Found your tremendous photos when you signed guestbook of another unit. My Dad's unit was the 178th "Boxcars." He arrived in March of 1966 and took his last flight...to Heaven...after the Ch-47 he was co-piloting crashed through trees in the Iron Triangle. May he and the other KIA's rest in peace...and honor this Memorial Day and every day. Thank you for serving..and for this site. Our '65 Ft. Benning neighbor served with 179th at Pleiku June 66-June'67.

Your fish is really good! I opened it up in class and the gals I work with think your're very talented. Did you do this with pastel pencils? The only thing I noticed is the lack of reflections in the glass. Look at your fishbowl again and notice the refle tions of the objects reflected in the glass. Notice where the light hits the glass and how the reflection looks. Your fish has alot of depth, it is very good. Janis
