Beyond the images and into my mind.
My Life and the Changes I've Made.
If you know me you will probally be knodding as you read this, then get bored and move on.
If you see me now you would never guess my age, how much I once weighed, or pretty much anything else about me from an outward view. In the past several years I've changed alot in my life and it shows. My mind, body, and soul have been transformed (I know it sounds tacky but it is true).
On December 19th, 1999, I sat at home looking at the mess of cigarette butts and hazy windows in my home. This day was my first change, without help I decided that I would quit smoking. If you ask me if it was hard, I can honestly say "No" because I haven't had the desire to start agian.
December 19th, 2000, I made myself take a step forward in my art. I started to draw more, paint more, and view more art. This might not sound like a great change, but it got my heart in the right place.
December 19th, 2001, was horrific I tried to get myself involved with politics. Got involved with the anti-Bush groups, and found out that I was not as extreeme as they were. It was hard to be active and hold a job, so I had to settle for being informed and informing those that I encounter. I still am anti-Bush, but I have a whole bag of progressive views that I share.
December 19th, 2002, took a look at myself in the mirror and began to feel uneasy. I have always felt good about myself, but now I saw a huge mess. I was hitting the 350+ pound mark and it was getting bad. Exercise became a drive for me, and dropping soda/cola/pop from my every day life. The soft drink thing was much harder than the smoking thing...trust me.
December 19th, 2003, now I've done it, I started eating healthier and doing more to stay active. I'm looking the same though, I found out it also is what I was wearing (no fasion sense). Cut out most of the sugars and replaced them with vegies and fruit.
December 19th, 2004, this year I made a promise to stay in shape, eat as much Organic as I can, buy fair trade items, increase peace, and love everyone as much as I love myself. So far it is going great.
I don't know what is changing this year, but I hope it is finding more in life than roaming around...
ART, LIFE, LOVE and the rest just falls into place.
