Polaris
You're floated up, my fairy dust,
Pinned firmly 'gainst the thickest felt,
Whilst smiling at the others' trust
In you, which warmest night can't melt.
You are allowed to grow this grand
Above, beyond, on top their lofty dreams
Which fail each day to control my land
But yours are all that can be seen.
It's you who guides me home at dawn,
My twilight friend, the one I seek
From day to day, so I can warn
That I love you, each minute, each week.
The magic you cast into my eyes
Is blinding my mind;
Let them cry, groan, expel their sighs,
But I'll remain with you entwined.
