Eyes Closed
These despairing open mouths,
Their emitting somniferous sounds
- They cannot kill our love.
A cool empty breeze; together
We should keep warm forever
And protect our glass-encased-hearts.
Orange glow seeping into this room
Neer forgetting ungainly affection
For the loneliest are coldest.
Occasional flutters sing silence
Hushing my wanton violence,
Keeping my sanity with you.
Be quiet, my friendly baby,
Quiet and listen safely;
Feel my pulse beat.
