Burial

Amongst those blinking instants does
One so quickly drop disturbed down
Surrounded silently by fostered sunlight.

Their deafening brightness
Cowers beneath tyrannical upbringings
Hiding in undergrowth’s disillusioned shadows.

Flashing bones grind faceless souls
Deep like lovers’ initials etched into
Tree bark in lighter smiles.

Finding my self’s attention hard enough to
Keep these lifeless here sing wildly in my
Ears, tuneless harmonies quiet’s discomfort
Indefinite.
