Bubble Wrap
Talking can no longer happen:
Not in this world, will I ever
Speak my mind again. Our freedom
Is akin to Stalin’s Russia.
‘Speak and die’ say they so quiet.
Cocked triggers await politics’
Go ahead for censorship and
Take our breath and death too forth-right.
Bubble wrapped we are, and have been
For many years! It’s not seen
That we are being constricted,
Restricted; cutting all our tongues off.
‘Put it to our head, and tell us
Then, who are we to speak to now?’
I’ll say what I want: this is my
Country, my world and you can die!
Bubble wrapped we are, and have been
For many years! It’s not seen
That we are being constricted,
Restricted; striking down your friends
