When we play games
We usually play to win
We don't play for a tie
And we certainly
Don't play to lose.
Winning is always desirable
But nobody likes to be defeated.
Defeat is always hard to swallow
But we chew each morsel
Until all of it is digested.
Some refuse to accept defeat
And some would call their defeat
Foul play,
But no matter
How much you may argue,
You are still defeated.
You can look at defeat
As a lesson
That will help you
Prepare for the next battle,
And if you learn that lesson
Well and thorough
Tomorrow,
You may become the winner
And your opponent
The defeated.
A hard earned defeat
Is a loss without
surrender
So even if you are
Defeated,
You are still a winner
Regardless of the outcome.
Nobody likes defeat
But it can happen
To anybody
At anytime,
And even if one has
Never
Ever
Been defeated,
At the time
When death strikes
Us all,
We are
inevitably defeated.
