| These things will make your life happier. 1. Realizing that you do not have power over anyone but yourself, and cannot change or force your will upon others. 2. Realizing that complaining and dwelling on the negative are not necessary, and that they only slow down your progress in life. 3. Taking time to smile and think about how fortunate you are even if you may be experiencing sadness in your life. Everyone has things to be thankful for. 4. Going out of your way to find compliments for others, or doing small acts of kindness like opening a door for someone or the like. 5. Looking in the mirror and saying "It feels 'GREAT' to be alive!!" 6. Laughing at your own minor misfortunes and realizing that "there is no use crying over spilled milk." 7. Knowing that everything happens for a reason and things always work out for the good in the end. 8. Realizing that people cannot make you feel emotions, that you are the one who chooses how to feel. You only get angry if you choose to do so. 9. Finding out that the only limits you have are the ones you set for yourself. But progressing through life does take determination and hard work. 10. Not caring if anyone says anything mean to you because the only persone that has power over you is yourself and if anyone doesn't like you, they are just missing out. |
