1985 was so cool! Rick and I went out to the Venice Beach AFA contest. I was a judge and sitting with Mike Buff, McGoo, and Woody Itson. We met and got to ride with all the Pros and new riders like Josh White and Dennis McCoy. We also went to BMX Action headquarters and met the staff. Hit the Pipeline skatepark, that was so fun! We also got to hang out at Mike Buff's house! He let us ride his half pipe and it was so rad to be hangin' with someone you idolized in the magazine.
