Tournament Info ------------------------------- Message Contents *********** 24th Annual Celebrity "Scram, Pup!" *********** FRISBEE CENTRAL AND FIELDS: We will be using the Oregon State Intramural fields at the NE corner of 30th and Washington. Take I-5 to the Corvallis/Lebanon exit and go west on Hwy 34. (If you live in Corvallis, there is no reason to go out to I-5 to get to the fields, but you are welcome to follow these directions explicitly.) The road becomes Harrison once you cross the bridge into town. You'll need to get in the left lane (some time after the construction near the Hollywood Video) to stay on Harrison past 9th Street and Kings Blvd. Turn left (south) at 30th. (There's a light at 29th.) After ~7 blocks, you will have entered the OSU campus, passed Peavy fields (to the right/west) and will come to a 4-way stop at Washington. (The fields are to the left/east as you are approaching the stop.) Turn left/east and park by the tennis courts. We'll be hiding FC behind the indoor tennis court building. SATURDAY MORNING'S CAPTAIN'S MEETING: Captains show up by 9:30! Prizes will be awarded to on-time folks. Then we'll talk. Chuck will ask questions to point out stuff I forgot to mention in this email. Sheridan, Hamby, Slack and others will be smart asses. Most folks will pretty much behave themselves and/or totally ignore what we say. Finally, we'll agree to start play around 10am. TEAMS: A = Throw, Don't Throw [Eugene] B = Takki Paw [Portland] C = Skin & Bones [Portland] D = Spirit This! [Corvallis/Portland] E = OSU PBR Big Iron Ultimate Beaver Bandits [Corvallis] F = TBD [Corvallis] SATURDAY PLAY: Games to 15 with mirrors at half-time. Play all the 9th edition rules, including the "new" pull rule and use a 15 yard brick. (Of course, we can change any or all of this at the captain's meeting, so feel free to bring opinions.) Time Field 1 Field 2 Field 3 10 am A v D B v E C v F Noon A v F B v D C v E 2 pm B v F C v D A v E 4 pm 1 v 2 3 v 4 5 v 6 The final round matchups will be determined once all of the other games are done. Ideally, the final round of games will match up the top, middle and bottom pairs of teams, but since many may have played in their earlier matchups, we can discuss it and decide what we want to do with the last round. I reserve the right to make an executive decision that will make me happy but cannot guarantee happiness for anyone else. Woo me if you must to get what you want. I will openly accept bribes. SATURDAY NIGHT: There will be beer. And some music. And some kind of prize hunt. Or maybe a riddle. Or something. Somewhere. We're working it out. You will get the details Saturday. HOUSING: If you have housing questions, let me know. There will be houses with open floor space and back yards. Captains, it would be good to get a feeling for the number of people who want places to stay before Saturday so that we can rally the hoards of potential hosts. MOTHER'S DAY HAT TOURNAMENT: Show up around 10am. We'll get teams determined, allow time for teammates to meet and get started around 11am. We'll play at least 3 rounds of games. We may try something wacky. I'll let you know when you get there. OTHER QUESTIONS?
