| This sisterhood network was organized for African-American women in the Northern Virginia/DC area for the purpose of providing a social arena for open communication and dialogue, networking, community outreach activity and ,most importantly, an intimate environment by which friendships can develop. We meet at each other's homes for book reviews, cook-outs, get-togethers, parties and other social activities. | The Professional Black Women's Social Club currently has 25 members. We get together monthly to participate in events and/or social gatherings ranging from get-togethers to happy hours at local clubs. Our ages range from 23 to 38 and collectively we represent the DC Metro area of VA, DC & MD. PBWSC members are free to post information on the listserve inviting other members to join them in social events/activities.
