~*~ Right By Your Side Chapter Four ~*~

Colleen Carlton
It had been a couple of days since she was in the hospital. Colleen was at Crimsom Lights waiting for JT. She still has no memory of him, but he had asked her to meet him here. She may not remember him, but whenever she looks at him she feels something deep inside of her and she can tell how much he truly cares about her. She sighed as she sipped her coffee. She came a little early. Just then she noticed a guy with dark brown hair and brown eyes approach her.
"Hi. I'm new in town. My name is Brian Hawkins. What's your name?"
"Umm... Colleen. Colleen Carlton. It's nice to meet you, Brian." I said politely.
"So Colleen. Can I join you for a cup of coffee and you can tell me all about Genoa City."
"Actually, I'm meeting someone in a few minutes but you can sit down for a couple minutes." Colleen decided.
Brian looked like a really nice guy and he's just looking for a friendly face.
"And I don't think I can be much help. I don't remember too much about Genoa City. I'm suffering from memory lost." she admitted to him. Brian then sat down.
"I'm so sorry, Colleen. What happened?"
"I don't remember it, but I guess I was in a car accident."
"That sucks. Well it could have been worse and the memory lost is only temporary, right?"
"Yeah. But its still so hard. I feel like everybody expects too much from me and I just don't want to disapoint everyone."
"I'm sure they understand."
"Yeah, i know. Your such a nice guy, Brian. You seem to understand me and you listen well." I says. "So tell me about yourself." I added.
"Well, I just moved here this week. I'll be going to the college in the fall. I'm transferring from North Dakota State."
"Wow. Way over in mid west? Why Genoa City?"
"Its a great college and I hated it at NDSU. I mean, I have my mom and my friends there, but my dad lives near by and I just think I'm going to like it here better."
"That's cool." I says.
"So... now that we're more acquainted how would you feel about going out?"
"Your asking me out?" I asked shocked.
"Yeah. So how about it?"
"Thanks, but no thanks." I says.
"Why?" Brian asked.
"Because she has a boyfriend." JT says from behind.
"JT!" Colleen asked startled.
"I'm so sorry that I kept you waiting. I just got held back."
"It's okay."
"Look. I'm sorry. I didn't know you have a boyfriend. Maybe I'll see you around." Brian says. Then he walked away.
"JT. You can't really call yourself my boyfriend when I don't even remember you." I says.
JT stared at me, looking hurt.
"I'm sorry, JT. But its the truth."
"No, i'm sorry Colleen. Your right. I have no right pushing you. You need time. But you are going to remember. I promise you."
"Are you sure you can make promises like that?"
"I am. Because I know you better than anyone and I know you can fight this. I have faith in you. You will remember."
"Thanks, JT. I am going to try so hard to remember you because you really seem to care about me."
"And I do. But I'm not going to push too hard. I am going to give you some time to yourself and then later today or tomorrow, I'll try my best to help you."
"Thanks, JT. Your really sweet." I smiled.
"Okay, then. Call me when your ready for me to help you some more."
"Okay. I will."I says.
JT then kissed me on the cheek then he left. I starred after him for a few minutes. He truly is the greatest guy ever. He's so good to me and seems to really care about me. I need to remember. I have to. I sighed. I opened my purse and I saw the most beautiful locket. After I admiring it, I put it over my neck. The locket seemed so special...and familiar. I don't need any more time to myself. I needed to go find JT, I thought.
