| Click on the underlined words to see the picuters: My new place in Seattle. Had to move since the other place is getting sold. This is a view from the rooftop. This past Memorial Day weekend, headed south to see Mt. Rainier (Saturday) with my old roomate John Dietsche. The park is nice, not sure if I would go back, but i am glad to have visited. The weather was great, 80 degress and sunny. Made for a nice shot of the mountain. With the weather so nice, it's hard to believe that there is a lot of snow even in the lower parts.Another part of the park is the Grove of the Patriarchs. It's a small island in the one of the rivers in the park. On the island are these massive cedar trees. These are few more shots (Dietsche in the tree, largest cedar in the park, black and white path, and black and white on the island). There are also some waterfalls and a pretty cool canyon (Steven's Canyon 115' deep at this shot). On Sunday we went to La Push out on the coast and walked to Second Beach (the same place I went to during my move out here). The walk through the woods is pretty cool. Here is the shot coming onto the beach and a panoramic shot of the area. This is a close up of the one the formations and a look at the waves. Right up the road is Third Beach. The path is 1.3 miles and the area has less in the water as Second did. There is a waterfall though and some rocks in the distance. Here are couple of shots of Dietsche and myself on the beach (just blinking, not sleeping). During the drive, you go along Lake Crescent for about 10 miles. I got this shot on the way back. The lake is completely surrounded by mountains and is really great to see when the weather is nice. |
