Website Review

Regents
Preparation
The main content of the site
regentsprep.org is of course is to prepare students for the state test. Directly
on the visually faultless homepage is a link to the most up-to-date streaming
video and PowerPoint demonstrations of the material. Therefore, it is an
excellent choice for students. It is upfront about the author and provides a
homepage disclaimer to avoid confusion.
There are graphically enhanced working links and are up to date with the
latest necessary information. If I were a student preparing for this exam, I
would be a frequent visitor of this website. It is content rich, completely
comprehensive, consistently accessible, accurate, and clearly grade level
appropriate. Students can receive instruction and/or practice with interactive
problems solving and games. The lessons are listed by topics, definitions are
numerous, and web-based practice problems accompany each item. There are
graphic links, visual enhancements and only useful advertisements show up on
occasion. Archived tests with answer keys are also available for enrichment. The
clearly marked working links provide endless and verifiable resources for
raising student achievements. Teacher can download lessons and activities,
explanations, and formula sheets or send their students to the site for
personal retrieval. I have used this site in al of the above scenarios and am
very satisfied with the site as a resource.
