The series hasen't been around for that long, 2005 is only the third actual season of races. Every season starts with the Pepsi 300 in July and goes through the summer to the Ford 300K in mid November. The 2004 season consisted of 17 races and officals say that it is to go up to 18 races in 2005 and is set to start off a little earlier than normal. The series has a points system like the Nascar Craftsman and Busch series; 180 for winning, 175 to second, 170 to third, etc... and 5 bonus points for leading a lap and 10 more bonus points for leading the most laps in a race. At the end of the season the points are added up and reviewed over and over to determine the champion.
